Anyone else love the Grateful Dead 'round these parts?

hell yes!
I mean I listen to a TON of music and haven't listened to them much recently, but they are really good and I listened to them a lot probably like a year ago.  I have most of their live music I think, or at least a lot of it.  I guess I'm not really into them having not listened in a while and never really looking up their stuff beyond what I have on my ipod, but it is some great music.

I'm gonna listen to them now, actually.  thanks for reminding me.

To be honest I've never listened to them, but that's more due to the fact that I'm not into music that much. The biggest collection of songs on my iPod Touch is the TSL soundtrack. Chances are I wouldn't like the grateful dead that much anyway. I'm into alternative rock mainly.

Yeah, if you're into the "Alternative Rock", you'd probably hate the Dead's mellow, folky-rock sounds.

Me?  I can't stand the Dead.  They noodle on way too much, meander and it's just too laid back for me.  I really enjoy Phish, though.  Seen them in concert many a time back in the day.

here's the funny thing.  I'm into "alternative rock" and the Dead and love them both.

I like phish too, though I have only REALLY listened to this bootleg i got online and a studio album called round room.
Phish certainly gets some stuff from the dead though.  I can hear the inspiration.
