The NGP (Next Generation Portable), also known as the PSP2, has been officially unveiled by Sony. I read the live blog... well, live XD. I stayed up really late to see it knowing full well I'd have a class five hours later XD. Anyway, it features two joysticks, a back trackpad and a touch sensitive screen, a front and back facing camera, flash based games (which means no more UMD. Now games will be stored on DS like cartridges), and the graphics power is pretty amazing, honestly. Attached to this post is a picture of it. Discuss.

Now if Sony could get a game's catalog like Nintendo's....

XD Good luck with that. My only issue with the 3DS is the lack of good launch titles. Neither Zelda nor Kid Icarus are launch titles, and that's a big blow for me. Zelda would be a great launch title; great for new fans and old alike, and it's suitable for a young(ish) audience.

At $250 i'm not buying a 3DS at launch, :P...
Well, ya, King's Quest is on Earth. Daventry is very old city from a long time ago. It's in ruins now and people aren't quite sure exactly where it used to be. There are some archaeologists searching through the ruins, they think they know its Daventry. But its somewhere on Earth."-Roberta Williams http://kingsquest.wikia.com/wiki/File:Daventryisearth.ogg

I will probably buy a 3DS at launch, but am still holding off on a price point for the NGP before jumping on that boat.  Sony isn't exactly known for decent launch prices.

XD Well, every company has had embarrassing and just down right horrible E3 press conferences. Nintendo had theirs a few years ago, Microsoft just had theirs in 2010, and Sony had theirs in 2006. Still really funny (and sad) that they had such a terrible press conference. I've watched most of the press conferences live for the past few years, and I gotta say, sony's press conferences have been getting MUCH better. their E3 2010 conference was amazing. Microsoft's was forgettable, and Nintendo's didn't really phase me either way. But, I don't think any E3 press conference can beat this. Single best moment of video game history in my life thus far. If only they would do that again...

Beautiful. I haven't played any Zelda games, but I can appreciate the genuine joy from the crowd.

I follow Apple in the same way that you follow the E3 conference, though recently, it's been less interesting because of Steve Jobs' health issues and absences. No one can hold a keynote like Steve Jobs.

I follow the Apple press conferences just the same. I've been following E3 longer than I have Apple, but I do follow both now. I do agree that Steve Jobs knows how to make a press conference. "and, one more thing."

If you like apple's press conferences, you may get a chuckle out of this.

"I would rather have Flash on my iPad than look at you three any longer!" ;D

This is my favorite Apple humor video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xgls9IwWUyU.
