I brought this up in another thread, but just letting people know that Gold Rush! is still legally sold by its original programmers,the MacNeill Brothers through their company;

Their re-release includes a hand-made 'special edition' that comes with the game in a wooden box.

I do not advocate piracy, and I recommend people support the developers, if you feel like playing the game, and do not already own the game. In this case, it supports an small indie company, and those who made the game in the first place.

Well, ya, King's Quest is on Earth. Daventry is very old city from a long time ago. It's in ruins now and people aren't quite sure exactly where it used to be. There are some archaeologists searching through the ruins, they think they know its Daventry. But its somewhere on Earth."-Roberta Williams http://kingsquest.wikia.com/wiki/File:Daventryisearth.ogg

Glad to see it's fixed. When I was reading it, I thought you were sneakily trying to say you DO support piracy. Which is a no-no on these forums.  :P

Hmm, I wonder. Looking at the pictures, I don't see California Gold the book/copy protection manual. I wonder if the Software Farmversion eliminates the copy protection from the game.

Another thing I'm curious about is if the introduction has been modified to eliminate references to Sierra, and replace them with "The Software Farm"?
