Try again in 5 minutes, Yonkey.  It did the same to me.

Koko: Thanks for the more protein thought, too. I had been thinking that myself... nice to know I was on the right track! Hmm. Maybe I could try drinking Slim-Fast instead of water or something, although that's more calories... (Having to eat all the time does sort of take the steam out of trying to lose weight.)

While I'm on a roll... do your health teachers know any remedies for cleaning out large, clogged pores and getting rid of pimples that are non-prescription and actually work? :P

Bad things:

I'm apparently missing out on a lot of MSN parties around here. ;)

Jeysie, I would not do the Slim-Fast route.  I did it for a little while and then it started doing weird things to my blood sugar (btw, I'm not hypo/er glocemic).  I would drink it and then within an hour be sick to my stomach.  (And I do know it was the blood sugar causing this, not some weird allergic reaction or something).  I would probably suggest eggs and bacon for breakfast.  I know you don't like cold cuts, but maybe some type of ham and cheese sandwich (two or three if that's what it takes to get through the day), and some type of high protein thing for supper.

NO, I am not talking about the Atkins diet!!  Let's get that straight now...but those who have problems with blood sugar need to reduce their carb intake.  Now, I will claim that I'm not a professional, but I am giving advice that I've picked up at my job.  Jeysie, what I would just suggest is go into a GNC (b/c they do know what they're talking about, but if you have questions, refer back to me...a couple of people I work with work out and my bro used to work at GNC, so I have SEVERAL reliable sources should I be stumped).  Ask the sales person about high protein drinks and bars, what they suggest.  Like I said, if you want, refer back to me, especially before you buy, if you want anything clarified--and remember, most health food stores work on commission!

Ok...way too long...I'll stop now!

The BAD: way too slow at work!

Koko: Well, supper's not a problem... once I get home I can just snack whenever I need to (usually salad and toast and jelly and cottage cheese). Unfortunately, eggs and bacon for breakfast is out... it takes me an hour to get ready for work already, and only 10-15 minutes of that is "breakfast" time. (Plus I can't cook anyway, so I'd end up with a pile of black stuff, and two strips of black stuff. You think I'm exaggerating, but I'm not.) I'm usually good 'till 11AM on a bowl of cereal anyway. As for the sandwich thing... maybe I'll just try bringing a cheese and veggie sandwich again, although the last time I did that it made me sick to my stomach after a few times. Maybe it was the soy cheese I tried that did it. Or the sprouts. Or the honey mustard? (sigh) :P

Anyhoo.

Bad things:

Having to spend two shifts at work doing little else but adjusting prices in a crappy inventory program. (Our inventory database is a piece of crap... I really, really, *really* wish I knew how to program so I could try to commission them into creating something that doesn't make me always go "WTF do you mean I can't do that? It's a freakin' basic efficiency concept!")

Edit: I forgot to ask about the protein drink thing... aren't those for people trying to *gain* weight? I mean, I'm trying to *lose* 30 pounds, and keep it off... I don't wanna be drinking stuff that has a lot of calories or fat or something. :P

Peace & Luv, Liz

Questing Character

Jeysie, do you wanna just give me the weight you're trying to lose?  I'm trying to gain weight, so it really could work out.  And I'm glad to help anyways. :)

The Bad: We accidentally locked one of my cats in the basement and couldn't find her when it was time to feed her.  The dumb thing was just sitting inside the door being *absolutely* silent.  Why can't she do that when we're sleeping??

The Bad: I think my computer is suicidal.  It keeps beeping.  Tomorrow, I'm going to wake up and there'll be a suicide note on the screen. "Good-bye cruel world!" sort of thing.

The Bad: I am missing FOUR points on KQ3 and I don't know where they are!!!  Why have I never noticed them missing before?  I did exactly what I usually do!  IT'S NOT FAIR!!

The Bad: I LOATHE that troll in KQ4.  I want to make it die.

Just here to brighten up everyone's moods. :D

Questing Character

And combine that with our headphone TV show, we'd be...millionaires...still!  It's perfect!  MUAHAHAHAHA!!  It's excellent!  We must do it immediately!!

Questing Character

Sure you can CC!  I don't think I'm smart enough to event something like that, so you and Jeysie can do the inventing, all three of us can use it, and then I'll do marketing!
