So, I came across this amazing series of short films recently. It's perhaps the best Star Wars themed thing EVER! I think the whole series pretty much speaks for itself...

I admit I'm a bigger Star Trek fan than I am Star Wars, but I still appreciate Star Wars, and you can't help but drop your jaw at both the quality and amazingness of these videos... So, discuss.

Those are neat (if EXTREMELY nerdy ), but I can't help but think they'd look better if the film were sped up slightly--it might make the battles look more fluid and spontaneous as opposed to how clearly staged they look now.

All of this reminds me of the Starwars RP I'm in right now. It's madness. I'm playign what is probably the equivalent of Anakin Skywalker. His name is Argon Freeman, and he's the son of the guy that makes all the starships- Chase Freeman. Argon... is a mad scientist. He let himself get possessed by an alien species to see what would happen, and learn some of their knowledge on organic mater, and they're permanently linked to his brain cause they're hive mind, so every now and then Argon talks in 3rd person (It's so funny). It also gave him minor force powers, More recently he went into a plot coma cause he was poking at a force powered droid to find his lost memories and it made his laptop explode. As soon as he got out of plot coma, a ship he was on went into self destruct mode, and he stuck around to stop the ship exploding- against his girlfriend's wishes, and her vision of the ship exploding (she's a Jedi), saved the ship, She freaks out, so he tries to pull apart the droid again, this time replicating the droid to find out why it does what it does. Now- this droid is an assassin droid of top caliber. It's dangerous, and can intimidate the heck out of anything. Argon by mistake gives it's twin robot sentience, so there's TWO assassin robots with scary intimidation skills. First thing they do? INTIMIDATION WARS.

There's a big moral dilemma though cause Argon is using the replica to pull apart it's coding, but it now has sentience. Argon was eventually going to destroy the replica, but he can't now cause it's real too. And angry cause his creator wouldn't give him arms or legs. It's great ^^

I admit, I'm attracted to geeks and nerds myself to a degree. I think part of it has to do with the fact that I'm a geek myself and so I personally understand the lack of attention we geeks and nerds get in the romantic area. Besides, some of them are cute (I like to think I'm included in that category, but I wouldn't know. I've never had a guy show any remote interest in me, so my spirits and standards have dropped dramatically over the years lol)

I actually like long hair on a guy. I've got somewhat long hair myself right now...

But overall, I love the series. The choreography is outstanding and the special effects are superb. I'm really hoping they continue making more of these!

I only watch the Ryan vs. Brandon 2, but that's pretty cool! I'm impressed with the effects and the choreography.

Brandon's kinda cute--I do agree he could use a bit of a haircut though.

I guess I'm the only one who likes long hair on a dude... If you don't like his hair length, you aren't gonna like mine if we meet up at PAX East. By that time my hair will be down to my shoulders if I don't get a haircut between now and then...

Interestingly, because of these Youtube videos, Ryan Wieber (the guy who made the videos and who is the star in each one) was actually offered a job at LucasArts. I don't know if he actually took it or not, but still. First we have Justin Bieber who got famous off of Youtube, and then we have Ryan Wieber who got offered a job at LucasArts because of his video editing skills being showcased online. Pretty amazing stuff I gotta admit.

Yeah, long hair is all about maintaining it. Although my preference is for shorter hair.

No offence Haids, but you used he best example of a bad hairdo simply cause you picked 80s rock hair dos. You know 80s wasn't the time for hair- right? Mullet era and all? There's plenty of long and short hair cuts which are terrible, and honestly, you're asking the wrong person about aesthetics, cause I'm an artist. Everyone has beauty to me. There are plenty of men out there that look hot in long hair. They exist. It may not be your thing, but they exist.

Fair enough, and I agree with you that some guys can pull it off, but all of the guys I posted pictures of still have that hairstyle.  I didn't dig into any archives to find those pictures, they're current. 

Besides, I never said I disliked long hair on men, I was just pointing out three guys I thought had icky hair.
