King Alexander

Black Widow: (scuttling in through a window to the King’s study) Good afternoon, Your Majesty.

Alexander: (looking up and around) Hm? Who’s there? Oh—hello Ms. Widow.

BW: So you DO remember me! How flattering. I certainly haven’t forgotten you, Your Royal Hunkiness.

A: Ah, King Alexander will do, thank you.

BW: A man who knows what he wants. I like that.

A: And you’re here because…?

BW: The interview, King Alexander! For the Four Winds, my office did schedule it with your seneschal.

A: Oh yes, of course. My apologies, it’s been a busy day. Please, proceed.

BW: With pleasure. Speaking of knowing what you want, King Alexander, how are the preparations for Abdul Alhazred’s trial going?

A: They are coming along and I believe we are building a strong case, but you know I can’t discuss the details of that with you.

BW: Not a single scoop at all?

A: I’m afraid not.

BW: Oh drat! Well—fine then. Hmm….then let’s talk about you, handsome. The Green Islanders know all about your heroic rescue of Queen Cassima and how you saved the kingdom, but little is known about where you come from and your past amongst the common folk. So tell us, what was growing up in Daventry like?

A: I…I wouldn’t know I’m afraid. I didn’t grow up there, but in a land called Llewdor.

BW: Oh no? And why is that?

A: (clears his throat) I was kidnapped as a baby by an evil wizard named Mannanan.  He raised me as a slave in his household, and it wasn’t until I was almost eighteen that I learned my true identity.

BW: Intriguing! I love a man with a dark past. Do tell me more. What was this wizard like? How did you learn your identity?
