Moebius Dev Diary Round Up

by on Jun.25, 2014, under developer diary, featured, moebius

We’ve shared various video dev diaries entries detailing certain aspects of Moebius. This aims to be a recap/repository of sorts, summarizing each week’s worth of content with links to the individual entries that were published. We hope you enjoy this comprehensive look into Jane Jensen’s
Moebius: Empire Rising.

We begin our journey with a video dev diary of Jane Jensen discussing Moebius' Kickstarter campaign. The campaign’s success could not have been achieved without the community’s efforts, something which we will be forever thankful for.

The following entry focused on Moebius’ graphical aspect. Stylistically it’s very similar to Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller, but the backgrounds and character are generally much more detailed, also addressing the main character, Malachi.

Jane Jensen is known for her storytelling in gaming, so of course there would have to be an entry dedicated to story. Here she will discuss Moebius' plot, how it unravels and how Malachi must face his trials.

No adventure game would be complete without a few puzzles to overcome. With that in mind in the last Jane Jensen dev diary video, she discusses how Malachi Rector’s unique abilities make up the core of the game’s puzzle elements.

Finally we have a bonus entry! A video of Malachi Rector’s voice, Owen Thomas and Colin Benoit, the voice of David Walker discussing the two characters’ epic bromance.
We hope you enjoyed this series of dev diaries on Moebius: Empire Rising. If you’d like to learn more about Moebius, feel free to check out our other series where we explore it gameplay.

Moebius Developer Diary: Story

by on Jun.23, 2014, under developer diary, featured, moebius

Moebius: Empire Rising tells the story of Malachi Rector, an antiques dealer who travels the world hunting down valuable artifacts. After returning from a trip to Spain he’s hired by Amble Dexter, the head of a secretive government agency called ‘FITA’, to investigate a series of events and draw parallels to historical figures.
The first event Malachi is tasked with requires him to investigate the death of a young woman in Venice, found hanging from a bridge. It is from there on the story unravels and reveals a conspiracy Malachi must face and expose.
It’s based on this premise that our next video is centered as industry legend Jane Jensen discusses the plot behind Moebius: Empire Rising.
