Seriously, how awesome is Weldon? You guys have no idea how much work this guy puts into TSL and how much we've already come to rely on his invaluable efforts, and he's only been on the team since July! And he has a day job! And three kids! One of whom is brand new!

Well, we the gameplaying audience really have no idea, no, not being on the coal face so to speak. But I wonder which is the harder job, three small children or one computer game...
Beats me. But to give you an idea--he programs, he manages QA, he fixes bugs, he's compiling the build, he does tech support, he handles the ordering and mailing of the mousepads, and more. He's seriously everywhere! And he's a nice guy on top of that, too!
I approve this thread. Weldon's an awesome guy whose dedication to the things in his life,
TSL included, is astounding to watch. He definitely deserves those cookies.

Imagine holding a super-fidgety six-week-old baby and coding while a three-year-old and a six-year-old chase each other in circles around the room playing a two person game of tag. See, doing the dad thing and the computer thing at the same time is what really makes it interesting.
Seriously though this thread is awesome and just made my whole day! I hope that people really enjoy Episode 3 - we've put a HUGE amount of effort into it and have sacrificed quite a lot of time with family, sleep, hanging out with friends, etc. to get this thing done. It's definitely our best work yet, and we plan to continue pushing ourselves higher for future episodes and other projects. That is, after we all sleep for this whole weekend.
I'm going to agree with everyone here...

XD I'd fall asleep. But I also had class this morning, so I'd of had to get sleep eventually. I'm hoping to increase my involvement with episodes 4 and 5. E-mail me if you need me to help out with anything.

Still totally blows my mind whenever I think about it - a year ago TSL was just a dead fan project as far as I knew. I knew virtually nothing about creating video games period. Now I'm heavily involved in everything that's going on with Phoenix and hopefully one day this can be my only job (nothing like staying up til 4 AM to get a build uploaded but then still having to be at a regular job by 9).
Tell me about it. Stupid school and work gets into everything.
