Examples: Castle Daventry, Mannanan's house, Connor's house etc.
The house I would own would be Mannanan's. Its small and has secret passages and a library. If I could have all of the Green Isles with it, I would pick the Castle of the Crown in the Green Isles, but if I'm only getting the house then Mannanan's would be neat.
But it would have to still be on the mountain.
the witch's gumball house, for sure. :P
Crispin's little cottage in the woods. Love that area.
I'm not sure, but it would definitely be one where you couldn't fall off the stairs! :P
The castle in Etheria. :lovegoggles:
Good call snabbott. I'd hire a condor to ferry people up the mountain ;D
Mannanan's house. I still hate Derek Karlavaegen for catching that hot piece of property before I did! Some day he'll get his.... *shakes fist furiously*
I think I'd like a house in Tamir. Maybe on the fairy island, though, what with the ogre and the zombies on the mainland. But...then I could see a unicorn! ;D
Mordack's castle.

Gah, I forgot about that one. :( But still, I'd have to say the castle in Etheria. I'd be surrounded by all those rainbows and flowers, all those bright neons, and could say I own a real actual castle on a cloud. Siiiiigggggghhhh...yeah, no, I still definitely like my answer. I would call Count Tsepish's horse and make him take me to visit you, Katie.
QuoteMordack's castle.
Seconded. Creepy angel statues, gothic archways, corridors entirely filled with giant looming skulls, a bed guaranteed to give you nightmares, the most fantastic looking evil library ever - what's not to love (in a completely weird and manical way)? :D
The houses of Beauty and (the) Beast are both quite nice as well.
Do you mean Beauty's stepmother's house?
Yes, that's what I meant. Stepmother aside, it's a nice house. I always liked it.
I agree, it's very pretty. It's very Spanish-style. And those roses! :smitten:
I have always wanted the dwarf's house in KQ4. My sister wants the mansion, minus the ghosts
You're asking about the wrong game. CLEARLY, the best Sierra/Roberta house option is the mansion from Laura Bow: Colonel's Bequest.
Oooh! That could be fun with all of the secret passages! :D
Castle Daventry, naturally. If I could own any property in the series, it would most DEFINITELY be Castle Daventry. That, or the Castle of the Crown. I'm not settling for some small little cottage; oh no, I'm going BIG! I'm going CASTLE SIZE, BABY! And if I owned Castle Daventry, I'd bring some guard dogs in from The Land of the Green Isles. Human guards are just so... Human. I need some dogs in my life, especially considering my parents flat-out refuse to buy me one.
EDIT: Please note the following: I have split all the dog conversation into a separate thread. Please redirect all further discussion of dogs here (http://www.postudios.com/blog/forum/index.php?topic=10516.msg321581#new).
I've live in the Green isles and own the Castle of the Crown. I like the decor of the place. And the Isle of the Crown is a lovely isle. And of course I've had a ton of guard dogs! They'd be fun to have around.

Now, I agree with all of this. But if we're going to have a secret labyrinth beneath the castle, it should be one
we can use . Though I suppose we could put lead the visitors we didn't want to put up with into the labyrinth and hope that they don't find their way out. :P

But look, it's a neo-classical temple-like structure on top of a giant, fluted Ionic(? I can't tell) pillar! :P That's pillars on top of pillars! :P
Pillars on top of pillars? XD Surely that's a dangerous idea. Because then you might experiment with pillars upon pillars upon pillars... or try to construct some sort of pillar-singularity...
I agree it's pretty though XD The main problem would be transport, though. :-\ How would you get to the ground from all the way up there?

I'm guessing we'll find out in Episode 4. :)

There's a nightshade bush right at the base of the Cliffs of Logic, I'm sure she could entice Night Mare to fly her around.
I'm still hoping that we can get a hot air balloon ride up there, as the Four Winds mentioned a while ago.

An elevator will be built into the middle pillar. :P This is going to end with you ruining pillars for me too, isn't it? :P

That's... genius. :o But will you have smaller elevators built into the pillars on top of the pillar? :P

A future FW article will have something on this... It's not yet published though. Written and edited, but not published.

I went on a balloon ride. I could see everything from up there. #obscurereferenceonlyDDwillget

Well, I thought you might, since you mentioned you liked Relient K in the Thundercats thread.

I like the band, yes, but I haven't listened to all their songs, nor do I follow them closely. I don't follow music in general all that close. It caught me by complete surprise when Green Day came out with an album after American Idiot.
I see. I'm a tiny bit obsessed when it comes to them. Not wring-their-butt-sweat-into-my-mouth obsessed, but I have bought and will continue to buy (as long as I still like them) their CDs, and will see them in concert whenever I have the chance (which, sadly, has only been once, so far).

Or a spiral staircase around the upper pillars. :P I haven't decided yet. :P
Speaking of balloon rides, I found this recently:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duel#Unusual_duels
Here's the relevant bit:
QuoteIn 1808, two Frenchmen are said to have fought in balloons over Paris, each attempting to shoot and puncture the other's balloon; one duellist is said to have been shot down and killed with his second.
Also, I can't help posting the next one out of hilarity:
QuoteThirty-five years later in 1843, two men are said to have fought a duel by means of throwing billiard balls at each other.
XD XD XD XD XD
QuoteOr a spiral staircase around the upper pillars.:P I haven't decided yet. :P
Ooh, spiral staircases... Very tempting. Could you form a sort of quadruple helix structure out of four intertwining spiral staircases which would also act as a pillar? :P

Holy merde, that's awesome.
Ha ha.
Love all the responses.
I don't think anyone has chosen Lolotte's castle yet...bummer :P
As far as the balloon duel goes...must have been a real genius that chose to be a second in that fight. Shoulda stayed on the ground and did this -----> :stupid:
I think I would live on the isle of wonder in Chessboard land. Although we haven't seen the inside of the castle...it would be fun there. Plus the design of the outside of the castle is quite pretty.
I'd be afraid to live on the Isle of Wonder. Too many seemingly inanimate objects could be alive!
lol yeah true but thats what would make every moment interesting. :D
Yeah, but what if you were cooking dinner and went to slice up an onion, and it started screaming in pain?! :o I wouldn't be able to continuously live in that kind of fear. :P
You mean like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcRguMhpQPQ#t=2m43s)?
Eeeeeeeeeesh! That's just...ugh!
hahahaha ok thats pretty corny.
No, this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fq4Eebc7aMQ&feature=fvwrel) is corny. :P
No love for the Druids' treehouses? :P
