I would totally get a dog if my parents allowed me to. In fact, once I move out for good, one of the first things I'm doing is buying myself a dog. And a giant castle. I just need to start saving for the castle right now. Anyone know how much Schloss Ritter goes for?
I used to have a dog, when I was a kid, but she died my senior year in high school. I'd LOVE to get one now, but time, money and an apartment that allows it all kind of stand in the way. Someday!

Occy (left) and Thor (right)
Thor. I approve of that name.
One of my friends has a Boxer named Thor.

Awwww, so you do! I didn't know. :) A chocolate lab? And an older chocolate lab, I take it, hence the grey on his nose. Soooo cute! :smitten:
(I am
so one of those girls that melts into a puddle of Jell-O when I see puppies. Kittens, not so much, but puppies and babies? GimmegimmeGIMME!)
Yes, Thor is about 8 years old.
Didn't we already debate the merits of puppies and kittens? I'll always prefer kittens.

(I especially like the last frame.)
I have two dogs! Annie and Shaggy. Annie is the red one and Shaggy is the mini rescued dog of ours. Once I move out and get a place of my own, I am totally taking all of my chickens and getting two dogs, their names are going to be Archer and T'Pol.

:S I have never seen that drawing before, but nearly everything on that list reminds me why cats freak me out!
I prefer dogs. Cats I'm not so fond of. Besides, whenever I think of cats and dogs, I almost always think of Cats & Dogs. Its a movie where the cats are the bad guys and the dogs are the good guys.

T'Pol. I approve.
If I ever get a dog, I'm naming it Scooby and teaching it how to talk. Then I'll get a puppy, name is Scrappy, and teach it how to talk even better than Scooby. (Yes, I still love Scooby Doo.)
Awww, waltz, I love them! :lovegoggles:

Nothing wrong with that! Most of my favorite people still do.
My brothers watch Scooby Doo. I sometimes do, the last one I saw was about a monster in Mexico and one guy looked totally stoned. I laughed everything he came on to the screen.
Here's an awesome reason dogs are...um, awesome. Turkey legs!!

And also, who in the world could resist this face?
^ That one is Willie, or William Wallace Westley Dundas. I apologize for the blurriness of the photos, they were taken on my phone.
I have another one, the mama of these two, but she's MIA for some reason and doesn't want her picture taken. ;)
:lovegoggles:
Haids! I want to take them home with me. So cute!
Aw, shucks. Thank you! I love yours too! The red one looks feisty, like you caught her in a moment where she wasn't making mischief. The little one looks more mellow, like "Yeah, what of it? I'm taking a nap at 3:39 in the afternoon, what gives?"
Annie in that picture was begging for food. She if so freaking smart, she opens doors (to exit and enter), Chicken trained, Trash can opener, you name it she can do it.
Shaggy just wants to sleep and hang out with my mother.
What does "chicken trained" mean? Does she watch for coyotes or something?
She protects them from coons, skunks, hawks even from Shaggy who likes to chase them. She sleeps next to the baby chicks and gives them piggy back rides.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! I just fell in love with your dog all over again! :sweetheart: How in the world do you train a dog to do that?
She just did, I never trained her. She even goes into the coop to fetch eggs and brings them in gently. She even hunts for eggs at Easter time. She is a card.
All you need now is a spider to write "Some dog" in its web. ;D
She really, truly sounds an amazing dog. You are blessed!
Thanks. ;]
These are all the more reasons why I want a dog...

That's pretty awesome. I wonder how many she broke before she realized how gently she had to hold them, lol.

Guilty as charged... I'm a horrible Mod lol... I'll make a new thread for dogs.
EDIT: I have now split the original thread and created The Dog Thread! Enjoy!
Waltz, your dog is freaking amazing!
They are all so cute!!
I'm allergic to cats, which is one reason I don't really love them. But I also find them annoying and moody. And yes, loud! My boyfriend's cat does not get to stay in the room when I'm over there now because he'll climb all over the place and wake me up. Meh. And he yowls for food all the time. My other friend's cat will be sitting there enjoying pets and then suddenly lash out and claw and bite your arm with no forewarning.
Dogs rule!
I want a corgi, one of these cute little guys!

GOLDEN RETRIEVER! Squee!!!! I love those kind of dogs. Them and Labradors are my favorite. They have such a sweet temperament and lots of fun to be around.
When I get a dog, I'm intent on it being a golden retriever. I ACCEPT NO COMPROMISES! Golden Retrievers are awesome. Cute, awesome, and just fun.
i have a dog, and 2 cats.
how do the dogs and cats get along? according to saturday morning cartoons, the two species are mortal enemies.
We had a black lab for quite a while and he and Koko (Momma and Daddy's cat) would curl up and sleep together :)
Is that where the "koko" in your username comes from?

I recommend you do :D It's almost as funny as the first one. I watched it over Spring Break. And I got it from Redbox. Only a dollar for a night, wooo!

I think my local redbox will be seeing a visit from me tonight, as long as the weather conditions are decent! (we're getting another 5-10 inches of snow. in spring. I love new england, but this is getting insane.)
Actually, Koko is a character from a series of books, "The Cat Who..." by Lilian Jackson Braun. We were huge fans of her books for years...the parents' cat, Koko, was named after the cat in the books :)

I never had a golden retriever in my life, then in 2004 (when I was 17) we got Piper from a lady at our church whose Golden had puppies. Well, when Piper was 3, she needed a husband, so we met Westley and after a brief courtship, Piper became the mama of three fat golden retriever puppies. Dexter went to live with his daddy and his daddy's family, but we fell in love with Jenny and Willie so they got to stay here. They're really, really amazing dogs. They're sweet and sooooo loyal, plus they simply adore being around their people. If one of us is outside getting the mail or something, all three of them will stand at the window and cry until whoever gets back inside. And they're goofy! They're big furry doofuses.
We have a little multipoo named Charlie and he does the same thing. If you go away for even 5 minutes he gets excited when you are back. It is so funny. The kind of dog I would love to have though is a border collie. They seem like really fun dogs but you have to have a lot of space for them.
Is a multipoo a poodle mix? :)
yeah he is a little guy. He is a mix between a maltese and poodle. 8)
