Someone else was having this issue as well if I remember correctly. I think Weldon posted something about this is the tech board.
Yeah - if you're running in Vista or Windows 7, you need to run the game as an administrator. Either that or install the game in an alternate location (writing to the Program Files folder requires administrator permissions).
