Title: To the TSL team
Post by: photon6786 on November 08, 2011, 02:10:53 PM
I have been a HUGE fan of the KQ games.  I've played every single one of them growing up.  Prior to TSL, I've been dreaming of the day someone would breath some life back into my favorite adventure hero and family.

Playing TSL has been an amazing experience to get back in the shoes of Graham again.  I am very amazed at how great the story line is and the experience to relive and see so many references to the prior KQ games has been nothing short of astounding.  Just wanted to say thanks to every single one of you that helped to bring this dream of KQ back to reality again!!

Photon I couldnt agree more.  I am amazed at how much I missed these games.  I started playing KQ at episode 1 so many years ago I cant recall and couldnt wait for the next one. Thank you TSL.  You guys have done a wondeful job .

Yeah, but Silver Lining is much deeper than any of the previous games.

I'm just drowning in a pool of tears, haunted by the OST which really berings out the mood.

Gosh and I can't think about much else, this things affect me really strongly, especvially when they are told so beautifully.

I gotta go watch something light-hearted now because I'm really sad and will be quite a bid saf for a few consecutive days.

It's a pity it;s just one last episode and a dreaded open-ended closure, i guess,  but you had no choice in the matter, unfortunately as far as I understand from the various complicated stories concerning the fate of this project...I'm sure the next, commercial one will bring you finally some revenue back at least. May good old adventures rise again.

But I love you for making this and for bringing out to the fore the psychology and tragic fate of our characters like it was NEVEr done in the original series. It would be about time for graham to realise just what a pawn he'd been all along. As I've written elswhere, I see him as a character ripe for some dramatic final step (seems to run in his legacy too, I think after going through episode 4), as long as it's not in vain.

Well you've totally wrenched my heart with all of this sadness  and tragedy, I certainly did not expect it to o quite as deep or quite SO realistic.

You can credit Cesar and Katie for the wonderful story. :) It's been an intriguing play through. And it does tug at your heart strings a lot.

^^ Totally agree AzzyGale. Beautifully worded.

AzzyGale, now you've made me start crying all over again!   :'(   Yesterday I was getting so choked up thinking about all those hours my little sister and I spent huddled over our computer playing KQ... and our mother reluctantly agreeing to let us call the Sierra hotline when we were stuck (remember those dark ages before we had online walkthroughs, lol?) because we couldn't wait to see what would happen next.

I also feel like even though I grew up with these characters this game has brought an entirely new depth to them.  King Graham has become such a silver fox!   ;]  The love he still has for Valanice after all these years kind of brings out the romantic in me... perennial cynic that I am!

It's such a beautiful game and no matter how it ends I know it's going to break my heart when it's over.
