Great pictures of me? :o Impossible! The reason why I don't post any more pictures is simple: our digital camera takes pictures that are above 100K in size, so I would have to size them down. However, I don't have a sizing-down program on this computer. It was terrible. It was November 4th, 1996 (a Wednesday). I was going to my Physics test (which I was going to early, as I was also going to a Neil Young concert which started at 7pm) We were in a somewhat private place, gave me the old teeth-bashing crazy tongue uberbite and I was bleeding.

When it IS a guy you're really into, though, it's just pure heaven, I really miss that. Having a boyfriend was the nicest part of my life, I miss having a guy around I can make happy and be close to. I'm so lonely! :( I don't even have a posse of male best friends around to care about like I used to, it sucks. Blah.

I can understand that. I feel similar about how other women treat me. (Usually like roadkill, keep a large distance from me at all times) So, consequently, I dont feel attractive either. With that said, we are always are own worst critics. And despite what others may have told you, I think your gorgeous. If you want to send me a full video of one of your days just so i can see you interacting with others, you go for it. I sincerely doubt it will effect my decision overmuch. From what youve said and done on the forums, i think youve got a beautiful personality too.
And, what they say about personality over-ruling looks is true. Yes, ya'll know that I don't consider myself beautiful. One thing I've grown to love about the forum is that you get to know a person's personality before you even get to see them. And if a person has a beautiful personality, it does influence how you see them. Kimmie, both you and Erik are this way. I'm NOT saying that if it wasn't for your personalities, you wouldn't be attractive (it's 7 am and my head is stopped up, so I don't even know if I'm making sense). But I AM saying that I met and grew to love you both before I even saw any pics of either of you. Kimmie, you are a very beautiful girl...and Erik, a very good-looking guy.

It's really hard to accept declarations of beauty from men who know you only in pixel-and-text form, when the men who know you in flesh-and-blood form constantly refuse your advances because they "like you just as a friend" or "don't think of you that way". Or worse, "respect you too much to think of you that way". Yeah, great, I'm so much of a "classy lady" that no guy will think I'm sexy. Talk about your back-handed compliment there. ::)
Talking about personality doesn't help much, at least not for me. The fact that even flesh-and-blood guys have told me they like my personality and like being around me just makes it all the more frustrating. I've never had any problem finding male best friends, but if I'm so wonderful to be around, why won't any of them *date* me?

Now, this isn't always the case. I know a lot of girls who would love to have a nice guy (myself included). I know several who have found them...and others (Pooky) who are trying to get out of relationships where the guy may be emotionally abusive if he's not physically.
It really depends on what the girl's looking for, though. A younger girl may be looking for a relationship just so she can say she has a boyfriend. Other girls may want the body-builder because he looks good on her arm. And then there are others (especially those getting ready or wanting to settle down in the next few years) who look for a guy who shares the same beliefs as she does, who she can laugh with, who she can have serious conversations with, and who makes her feel special. When the girl is ready for this, it does not matter what the guy may or may not look like.

Heh. Maybe I should cover my butt and make a disclaimer that the way I think about things may or may not coincide with the way you're *supposed* to think about things, and indeed probably does not.
Having said that... for one, I'm inclined to say that a guy who got drunk enough to lead on a girl whom he ordinarily would not be interested in deserves any uncomfortable consequences that may arise. (In other words, it's his own problem to deal with if your messaging him makes him embarrassed. And yes, I would say the same thing about a girl leading on a guy.)
For two, you'll never know whether or not he does in fact like you unless you ask.
For three, what exactly is the magic time to wait? A day? Two days? A week? Does it differ in some strange mathematical formula depending on different ages, place of setting where you met, the mean price of cotton, and the phase of the moon? I never really understood this.
Personally, if I seemed to be hitting it off with a guy, I would have either requested to set up a new date at the end of the encounter right then and there, or asked when a good time would be to contact him to set up a new date.
For four, you don't necessarily have to emphasize the romantic potential of this. I mean, what if you had simply met a girl (or a guy, for that matter) that you just thought would be a cool friend and wanted to hang out with more? Would you still obsess over when to call her? Simply saying that you'd like to hang out with someone again seems like an odd thing to get obsessed over.
Maybe this is why I don't get dates. I tend to be straightforward... pussyfooting around things just frustrates me.

I think it would be interesting to go back a few years. It seems like the older you get, the more pressures in life that occur. BUT, if I could go back, then I'd miss out a lot in what I've enjoyed in life this past year...so...while being less stressed has it's advantages, I don't think I'd change a thing in my life right now.

Naw, life is not that bad in your 20's -- it is full of growing up, more pressures, more responsibility and in my case I think I may get married in a few (within three) years. I am currently in my 20's. Now from what I hear although I am too young, it is when you hit 30 then you start feeling really old and somewhat out of touch with teenagers and twenty-somethings.

Those exam pressures will disappear in at most 9 years after that (unless you do one year double or triple), although they will probably be replaced by work or even unemployment pressures.
