Post by: jayjayaustralia on December 30, 2011, 09:10:29 PM
I just found this....

I hope I can download the game and play.... i cant seem to follow correctly all the hits and misses in terms of Kings quest starting again.

I am in perth australia now.... and when I played KQ  originally I was in Malaysia.....

my kids 10 & 12 years old love the KQ1 - 7 which I have introduced them too!

good to be here :)

Welcome!  We're glad you're here! I always love hearing that members of a non-90's generations know and appreciate the King's Quest games.  Your kids rock!

thanks mate.....

I cant believe they blocked KQ9 like they have done....

I wish I had found a way to get in touch with those responsible for carrying the fight to make this a reality much earlier

KQ was so much a part of my life between ages 12 - 20 ....

I'm glad my kids love KQ almost as much as I do.... and they love the girl in the tower song as well!

thanks katie

I was just reading about you yesterday and here you are replying to me :) awesome.

kudos for keeping up the fight.

hey so when are you going to get the rights to Kings Quest and remake the entire series :))

I wish someone who loved KQ had bought the rights when it was (supposedly) on sale for $25,000-$45,000

Haha! Aww, shucks. Glad to stay in touch with our fans!

Well, Telltale Games currently has the rights to make a new King's Quest--I don't know if that includes the rights to remake the old ones or not.

There are a lot of remakes in fangame form of the older games, though--KQ1 was remade by AGDI (http://www.agdinteractive.com) and they also made a KQ2+ and KQ# Redux, which add new elements to the storylines of both games. Infamous Adventures (http://www.infamous-adventures.com) did a more straight-up KQ3 remake (and also just released a SQ2 remake), and are working an original KQ game based loosely on the novel Kingdom of Sorrow.

And supposedly there is one, maybe 2?, remakes of KQ4 out there in progress.
