I played episode 1 a couple years ago and it worked fine (same system). I recently uninstalled/deleted everything from that game and today I downloaded and installed the 4 episode pack from your website. I am running the game as Administrator.
My question has to do with the scroll: In the beginning of the episode, Graham says that the scroll not only lists the ingredients, but the island to find them....really? My scroll has an ingredient list, but when I click on an ingredient (like a Magical Bag), all it says is what it is and nothing else. How do I determine what island to find them on? Am I missing a command or something?

What he means by this is that the map you use when traveling via ferry will only let you go to the islands that have the ingredients you are currently looking for. So if something you need is on the Isle of Wonder, you can go there. If there's nothing to help you on the Isle of Mists right now, then you can't go there.
It won't tell you EXACTLY what island has what ingredient, but it's a guide to help you figure it out so you don't waste time on an island that has nothing for you right now.

I cannot seem to dismiss the scroll from view no matter what I try! Escape key asks me if I want to go to the home screen and nothing I do in the inventory seems to dismiss it.
I restarted the episode and noticed the exit choice, all good.
