I predict that several decades may pass before release if they intend to do what they did with The Longest Journey in giving absolutely everyone a complex backstory and making you engage them in conversation for at least three hours, even if they're not relevant to the story in a meaningful way. Most people don't have time to play games that take that long, let alone three of them. XD

Also, for those unaware, Ragnar Tornquist did an AMA (http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/189al6/i_am_ragnar_t%C3%B8rnquist_creator_of_the_longest/) to answer questions about the Kickstarter and the game. Lots of the questions and answers were really interesting, and eagle-eyed forumers might recognize a certain CEO asking a question. :P
Most interesting part to me: He mentioned a stretch goal that TLJ fans will be very excited about and mentioned the acronym "TLJH" a few times. He said he doesn't plan on doing an HD rerelease or anything (in fact, they don't have the rights to do so, since TLJ is owned by Funcom) so... ???
I think he once mentioned that Dreamfall Chapters != TLJ2... maybe he's referring to that?
Right, he said it's the conclusion of the Dreamer saga, or Zoe's story, not a conclusion of The Longest Journey.
But he wouldn't be referring to a whole different game for a stretch goal...right?

On an unrelated note, did everyone see the stretch goals? They have to be able to make $1,000,000, which will be crazy exciting, but what do you think TLJH is? It's still not an HD remake, but what would it be? There's no way they'd make a second game on just the difference between $2 million and $1.75 million, so...any ideas?

It's been a long road getting here, but we'll make it! Adventure games are making a comeback, and it's you guys we have to thank.
And to think, until I saw Paw's LP of your SQ2 remake, I shuddered whenever I saw your name as from what I've seen of KQ3's remake, I was not impressed.
Luckily, you guys have improved considerably since then with pretty much everything (ESPECIALLY voice acting and music). Here's hoping KOS is good too!
Also, tell me something bt. Are you guys remaking SQ3 or not? Because I don't think you should be giving us a sneak preview at the end of SQ2 if you're doing nothing with it.

Oh!! I just read recently and it said The Longest Journey Home. Which DEFINITELY sounds suspiciously like TLJ2.

They will continue the stretch goals even beyond Kickstarter(through PayPal), and they'll have it updated on their website once the Kickstarter is done. :D
Dreamfall Chapters just got funded! They ended up at 21,858 backers, and a total of $1,538,425! Meaning that we achieved all the stretch goals that will include more actual content in the game! :D
Also, a cannon stroking NPC will be added to the game!
