So I'm a massive Alan Moore fan. I read V for Vendetta, From Hell and Watchmen, which are his big three. But I'd like to know if there are any others people would recommend, either by him or anyone else?
Also, webcomic recommendations would be awesome too. Some of those can be great fun :P
I LOVE Sandman (Neil Gaiman). I got the omnibus edition a while back. :D Three huge hardcovers.
I'll second Sandman. Fables is also great, and soon to be a new Telltale game. The Walking Dead comics, again great, and you're not necessarily spoiled on them if you played the game or ate watching the TV show.
Oh yeah!! Mom and I devoured the Fables books at the library. We're all caught up and anxiously awaiting more! I didn't know they were making a game out of it; should be interesting.
oo, oo, oo! parahumans.wordpress.com, you're welcome (pre-emptively). :P
Of course, the usual: Girl Genius, Gunnerkrigg Court, and also Erfworld. :)
I'm a huge Batman fanboy, but even I can't deny that THIS is the best comic book I have ever read:

and hope to God we one day get a movie made
Thank you everyone! :D
I started reading Girl Genius at Deloria's insistence but got sidetracked but I will finish it one day. But, is it just me or do people find the art a bit... small? Sometimes I look at a panel and actually can't figure out what's going on because it's so very very detailed.
Mm. Methinks I should experiment with the "zoom" function, since I so evidently need it. XD
If you haven't read "The Killing Joke" you should do so.
Also, "Arkham Asylum" by Grant Morrison.
Bt
the Killing joke is indeed great as well as its unofficial prequel The man who laughs
Girl Genius is a lot of fun, agreed. :) Though the story takes its time...I don't always remember what happened previously just because there's SO MUCH backstory at this point.
Paranatural is a fun, lighter webcomic that's also pretty funny. Don't miss the mouseover text on the comics, it's some great commentary! http://paranatural.net/chapter-one/
Give Maus by Art Spiegelman a read.
Bt
heard many good things about it , but never read it
You'll probably want to read The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen(comic is nothing like the movie) and Promethea by Moore. Besides the alternatives others have presented(which are all excellent), I'll throw in Invincible by Robert Kirkman, and basically anything by Brian K. Vaughan is money(Ex Machina, Y: The Last Man, Runaways, Pride of Baghdad, and Saga).
I've heard good things about Y:The Last Man.
By the way, is Jeremiah any good?
I don't know about the comic, but the TV show edition of Jeremiah is pretty good(Luke Perry is surprisingly decent as the lead) so I imagine the comic it is based on is good as well.
I remember watching the show and thinking it was pretty decent, but then it got cancelled :P
On a related note, Jericho is pretty good for a similar show(which also has a follow-up comic).
what's Jericho? A show or a comic book? (yes, I'm too lazy I-I mean busy to google it... yeah... busy >.>)
Don Rosa's Young Scrooge McDuck stories
Dropsie Avenue by Will Eisner
The Exterminators-series by Simon Oliver
100 bullets-series by Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso
House of Secrets by Steven Seagle and Teddy Kristiansen (Pretty much anything with Kristiansen is gold)
Anything by Franquin, Moebius (Jean Giraud), Uderzo & Goscinny, Morris, Benoît Sokal, Arthur de Pins (he does also animations (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2k6no_l-eau-de-rose_creation#.UXf2wsq3utY))
And if there exists a translations
Monsieur Jean by Dubuy and Berberian (Their diary comic about making mr Jean was good too)
The Painter and the Pirate-series by Christophe blain (pretty much anything by Blain)
Mämmilä-series by Tarmo Koivisto
Pieniä Julmia Tarinoita (Short Cruel Stories) by Gröönroos and Rantio
love that avatar, Mik :P
Jericho started as a TV show and was canceled after two seasons, then semi-recently had a "third season" in comic form. I mentioned it because the atmosphere is somewhat similar to Jeremiah and the comic connection. I would also say it's a better TV show than Jeremiah is.
Three words: Bimbos in Time.

Yes. This comic actually exists.
I think that was also made into a movie.
Along with what other people mentioned, I'd recommend Kingdom Come (DC future story) and the original TMNT comics.
The Technis Imperative. That is all.
I'd like to recommend two webcomics I found recently:
Powernap (http://www.powernapcomic.com/), where humanity has invented a drug that means nobody needs to sleep, ever again! Except the main character is allergic to it. And his dreams are incredibly weird and seem to point to some kind of conspiracy.
Broodhollow (http://broodhollow.chainsawsuit.com/), a Cosmic Horror/Lovecraft inspired webcomic. Guy discovers a distant relative died in a town he's never heard of. Guy goes to town and discovers it's really creepy. Sounds generic, but it gets a LOT of fun out of mocking these Lovecraftian horror tropes.

Isn't that the Teen Titans comic where cyborg returns to Earth shaped like a planet?
I believe so, why?
just making sure, I knew the name sounded familiar!
It's a good comic to be sure, a bit too much dialog at times and the JLA is a bit too overzealous, but overall a fine choice!
