I think it would only work for one level, after that it would just be you watching someone watching your mind with running commentary. :P
Erica's powers seem limited to physical objects. So if she touches a book, she'll see where that copy of the book is, but the powers are limited to the physical object.
It would be interesting (and probably completely impossible) if her powers extended to other things. So, for example, if she touched a book she got from a bookstore she would be able to see the writer slaving over the manuscript, the publishers looking over it, the contract being signed...
