Whether it's Shadowrun Returns
Shadowrun Online
or the good ol' Shadowrun game for the Sega Genesis
there's no shortage of shadowrun videogaming goodness! Who here can't wait to create their elven decker? Or their human shaman?
I'm going for a dwarven rigger, based off of my character in a game my friends and I had. We had some naval battles, so I'll have to start a bit of modding if I want to incorporate that.
I saw the Shadowrun Returns footage and it had a really weird effect on me: I know for a fact that I'll be absolutely hooked once I start playing, but watching someone else play doesn't interest me at all. So I'm very very excited about it, but weirdly unaffected by these sneak peeks. XD
I think the problem with Shadowrun returns are the environments, they're way too sterile, notice how nothing in them moves or flickers or anything.
It needs more flickering screens and neon lights :P
I'm looking forward to Shadowrun Returns - online... not so much. But Returns looks cool!
Bt
I'm looking forward to the Shadowrun tabletop game a friend of mine will be running in a month or so. :)
I wish I could find people to RP with in real life, ah well :P

Oh, that's a really good point. They look great but they're basically just static images here. But it'd be weird to have a cyberpunk city without flickering lights, gently pulsing streetlamps and animated ad posters.
Though I haven't watched the whole video, so maybe those things are in there somewhere and I just didn't see that bit.
I saw the whole video many times, they're not in shadowrun returns, though they are in shadowrun online.
But then again, shadowrun returns is a pre-alpha video if I'm not mistaken, so there's still hope
Yes, it's not so long ago we just had mockups of screenshots using photoshopped art. I hasten to point out that the devs made it clear they weren't actual in-game screenshots, so it was all fine, but it shows how they still have a long way to go, I guess.
I can't wait for the freaking game, I want it! and I wish I had made a donation back when the kickstarter was up, but alas, being unemployed sucks :P
