One question I have:
Wouldn't Shamir have known about Shadrack already? I mean presumably, Shamir was Alhazred's genie since around the time he came to the Green Isles, and Alhazred had come to the Green Isles nearly 20 years before the events of KQ6. Alhazred seems to take Shamir everywhere with him and he seems to be Alhazred's "right hand man" so to speak, so I'd think he would've met Shadrack once or at the very least heard him referenced or heard his name.
Because fan-fiction. ;)
Knowing about him doesn't mean he would know Shadrack was behind the attack.
Also, Shamir isn't with Shadrack all the time: he goes out to spy for him. If Alhazred wanted to keep Shadrack a complete secret, even from his own genie (which might be a good idea, given that Shamir would change allegiance if the lamp were stolen), it would have been very easy for him to do so.
