Bringing together my love of Homestar Runner and King's Quest.... this is f*ing hilarious!!
XB XB XB XB <me dying from laughter
Anyone recognize a whole ton of places and environments and screenshots in there? XB XB
I just saw that on homestar before I came to KQ 9 today. I hope that they are actually making it and its not a joke.
Yeah, a lot of those places did remind me of scenery that I have seen before :)
Hahahah! :suffer:
If H*R really does a KQ parody, I am SO watching every episode! XD <3
I MEET THE MAXIMUM REQUIREMENTS !!!
I exceed the maximum requirements. *smug*
Dang, I was just going to post this. Very funny stuff! I can't wait to play it.
Welcome
Thank you. :)
Welcome Moodyblues!! Hope you enjoy our madness forums. :)
Now it IS a game!!!

weeeeeeeeeeee!
Sweeeet. Opening it now! XD
LOL! I played a bit of it, but I need more time to play. :suffer:
I'm so ticked off! I was doing so well, but I think I forgot to get horse's grease to set myself on fire! Or at least something with that horse...
Dangit!
I can't even get it to load for me... I think the server's overloaded or something. Blah.
Peace & Luv, Liz
Well, I'm a whole lotta stuck with 74/150 points.
I can't seem to set myself on fire, talk to the fisherman, get into the INN (fisherman related), or find out what to do with that man who keeps hiding behind the tree. :S
Questie and I still can't get it to load, so no spoilers or you shall be visited by the Stick of Extreme Pain.
I think the server hates New England.
Peace & Luv, Liz
It gives me a "plugin didn't initialize properly" error message and a quicktime broken link. That's been happening a lot lately... maybe I deleted something I shouldn't have :P
I'm sad because Peasant's Quest won't load. I wanna be a peasant! :'(
Er, QuickTime, Storm? I thought "PQ" was a Flash game? ???
Peace & Luv, Liz
It said something about your browser needing cookies to save games and stuff.
Thanks, I'll try that :D

Me too! but I still get that broken blue Q icon :S
I JUST FINISHED IT! AHAHAHA!
136/150 points. Not too shabby... :D
Storm, just reinstall Quicktime just in case. Obviously your Flash should be fine if you can still see the nav buttons and logo at the top of the forum. :)
Actually, I got it to load. Yay! It does seem to use just Flash, since I don't have QT installed at all. Of course, I haven't gotten very far yet.
Peace & Luv, Liz
Everyone here meets the maximum requirements? :o

Did you help the fisherman yet? He can't go back to the inn until he's done fishing.
If you're really stuck, here's a walkthrough --> http://www.westsideservers.com/peasant.htm
Wee! I beat it with 142/150 points What a fun game! The ending is hilarious.
Fun things to try:
Type "throw baby" on the east side of the lake.
Type "sleep" while in the peasant woman's cottage.
Type "cheat"
Anybody else find funny things/easter eggs?
Yeah, I finally finished it. :D
I just thought the last time you saw the baby, the little text that was provided with that was ABSOLUTELY hilarious. I found most of it amusing, but that part was the only part that had me laughing out loud for a couple minutes. :D
I'm going to have to play it when I get some time this weekend. I tried it for about two minutes...looks fun!
I just got around to trying this... I'm having no luck making it load... but then again I haven't been trying very long. The trailer look rather amusing !!!
Eric: Just keep trying... took a while for the server to decide to work for me, too. :P
J-R: Just because I love you, I found this: Peasant's Quest Full Walkthrough and Other Happy Bits (http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?page=Peasant%27s+Quest)
Peace & Luv, Liz
I got it to work and I played it and I beat it--two less points than James had though. :-\
;D I got it going... excellent ;D
Sadly I find myself at work and thus can't give it too much attention until later... *sigh*
Well, I guess everyone got it working at this point, but I remembered that a pal has a mirror set up:
http://justas.ggcmedia.com/pq.swf
And yeah, I just played through the intro and tinkering with the first screen, but it was already funny. :D Must play more later.

You are sad a pathetic!
(actually, I went back and got a second arrow which is a bug that gives you two extra points)
"Dark falls like a poor PowerPoint presentation." ;D

That was just too funny...and sad :P

I upgraded Quicktime... and it didn't help :-\
What DID help, was dis-associating Flash files from Quicktime. I don't know why it tried running something it can't handle in the firstplace :S
It runs fine now :D
But I got stuck at 9 points :( I really am pathetic :'(
*psst Storm* I was in the library at school and only had about 30 minutes. In other words, to get it done, I had to use the walkthrough.
I know, I know, ya'll ask why I didn't save and come back to it. Believe it or not, the school's computers delete everything you've done on it as soon as you logout of the computer :-\ I have to reinstall MSN and YIM every time that I get right back onto it...
Since it saves your games in a cookie, you could have searched for it and e-mailed the cookie to yourself. ;D
So says Mr. Computer Wiz... :P
Yay! I finished the game! Got 135/150. Whee!
Speaking of funny bits, did anyone try typing DIE or KICK HORSE? :suffer:
Peace & Luv, Liz
No...but I was told to say "sleep" in the hut...interesting response :P
Done all that... ;-D
It's the right things I seem to have a problem doing :P
Where didja get stuck?
Peace & Luv, Liz
At the begining. It's not "stuck" as much as having no idea what to do next :S
I played it through a couple of times, and the first time I talked to the archer, moping by the archery range, I got the 2 points you're supposed to get. The second time I played the game I only got one. Wussup widdat? >:(
An update, maybe? ???
YAY, I'm at 20 points! though I could have sworn I tried putting the pebbles there before ???
Zero-G: IIRC, I read that if you first talk to the mopey archer before having at least one of the items that allow you to find his brother or play the game you only get one point for it.
Peace & Luv, Liz
Jeysie: Thank you! I'll go try it out now.
*runs to homestarrunner and occupies their server*
*comes back from a short spell as a peasant on fire*
It worked! I got a full score. Yeeehaw!
Finished! ;D
Just 139/150 though :-\
*Goes look for the missing points*
Even better, for anyone who frequents the site, the latest Strong Bad email starts off with Strong Bad playing PQ :)

LOL! That was hilarious. XD
Strong Bad: Buy Kerrek a cold one.
The Kerrek is a teetotaller and is offended by your offer.
XD
The snarky folks here have probably already figured this out, but... typing Strong Bad's two attempts into the actual game nets responses. :D

Adventure Gamers interviews the PQ team (http://www.adventuregamers.com/article/id,416/)
QuoteMatt: Outside of text adventures, the first adventure game I ever played on PC was King's Quest 1. It taught me the word 'crotchety.' Later, when we played King's Quest 2, I remember being legitimately terrified while inside Dracula's castle. Like, I had nightmares in 16 color EGA.
Peace & Luv, Liz
Wow :o how did I miss this fourm. Pesnts quest was not that hard 150 points not that hard with the help of a freind. But a good game
