I recently got episodes 1-5 off GOG. I've just completed Episode 1, downloaded and installed Episode 2. However, I can't actually get into the game. I see the Phoenix Logo, then as it's loading the title screen the mouse freezes and is unmovable. If you click, it goes white and says the game crashed. I've tried in different resolutions, different graphics settings, windowed and unwindowed, I've tried reinstalling and restarting my PC.
Please help, I really enjoyed Episode 1 and will be really miffed if I can't actually play 2 for some reason.
Can you send us the logfile to support@postudios.com? It should be on \Cognition\Cognition_Data\output_log.txt
Also, run dxdiag and send the result to us. Make sure your video drivers are up to date and that you aren't running something like Raptr in the background.
Hi, thanks for your responses. I'll do that now. I thought maybe it was my episode 2 was fluffed, so started episode 3, which is having the same issues. Sometimes I actually get into the game, but then it freezes up within a few minutes.
Edit: Email sent, I've attached logs from 2, 3 + dxdiag. My video drivers were recently updated, and I don't have Raptr nor anti-virus software running.
