For me it was the way it saved. I found the auto-saving more annoying than helpful. :P
I said the graphics...didn't feel like a KQ game...
The way the multiple endings were used. KQ2 did a better job with it's "bad" ending, than KQ7. :P
Never played it.
I answered other. The only thing that really annoyed me was the fact that I could not get Valanice to speed up. She walked the same speed no matter what you did and that wasn't very fast.
Definitely the way it saved :-\, i couldnt stand how it auto saved :-\
I voted for the saving method; while some auto-saving at keypoints is nice, I still want to be able to save my own game, too.
I was also not a huge fan of the voicework in general. From valleygirl Rosella to slow-talkin' slow-movin' I-talk-like-some-proper-Southern-colonial Valanice, none of them were really all that great. Especially after KQ6, which had great voices--but I suspect they might've been not so great in KQ7 because it was about 10 people doing all the voicework!
bad thing is I still haven't played it :-\

KQ2 had a bad ending I wasn't aware of? :o
For me it's a toss-up between the saving system and the graphics... the saving system was annoying, but it was more of a technical issue. The graphics bothered me on a more fundamental level... I would have preferred a more realistic-looking game :-\
I also expected it to be "realistic", after getting used to, and liking very much, the "realistic" style of KQ5 & 6. KQ7 was like a step back in that sense - the backgrounds were good, and it felt like the characters weren't detailed enough in comparison :-\

If you're saying that you don't consider it bad, keep in mind the quote marks I had with it.
If you didn't notice it, I guess I should explain what I'm talking about. KQ2 had the option for you to finish the game(not death), without marrying Valanice.
It made sense at the time, but now, it seems strange. The other ending, would make an interesting KQ fan-game though. :D
The graphics were too cartoon'ish...
Jafar, Boy of Destiny has never played KQ7. But he has obseved it and would like to say "All of the Above".
lol, why are you referring to yourself in third person? ::) ;-D
Because he can ;D
good point, but so can I.... ::) :P
If Pwincess decided to do something like that, I probably wouldn't stop her ;D
but of course you wouldn´t ::) :P
I never liked the game because I found it super buggy and slow (even on what was a new computer!) The “Disney†graphics might have been cool if they didn’t skip and stutter so much…
I really did like a lot of KQ7... I loved the animation, the chapter by chapter setup, the music, etc...
But the plot just didnt stand out. Compare it to KQ2, or KQ5, and yes, the plot was better.... but KQ3/4/6... it just failed to grasp my miniscule attention.
It wasnt a 'bad' plot... it just wasnt a 'great' one either. Idve probably given this game 2 1/2 stars. 8)
I Chose the saved game issue...I think the overall of the game wasn't good as the others, like someone already said it was SLOW like hell in every computer even new - but anyway KQ8 was even worst...
I think what I hated most was that you couldn't change the speed, and the characters were so irritatingly slow. Particularly where you had to walk about 20 screens for a single action >:(
I didn't like all the screaming. I just don't like it when the women in movies and games and stuff scream at every situation. If the game was based around these women, you would think they would be stronger and not as easily frightened to death. After The Perils of Rosella, I wouldn't think she would be much of a screamer.
I have never played the game so it would be inappropriate to vote but I will say I wouldn't like the graphics. The leap from the naturalistic imagery of KQV/KQVI to some weird disney-esque effect of KQVII wouldn't suit me terribly well (part of the wonder of computer graphics for me is to try and get digital pixels to resemble the real world as closely as possible.)
