More like the Fifth Amendment (of the US Constitution). In this case, the "...nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself..." bit of it.

Peace & Luv, Liz
I'm pretty sure that's somewhere in our constitution too, but no Belgian I know, knows the Belgian constition by heart. ::)
There I go getting in trouble with foreigners again. :P
No, no, Jeysie's right. Because I'm from the U.S. I had foolishly assumed I could plead the fifth AMENDMENT.
I don't think that's anywhere in OUR constitution, but then, we don't have a constitution ::)

Strange, I thought every country had a constitution, just like this (http://www.oefre.unibe.ch/law/icl/be00000_.html) one, but a bit different (ofcourse).
Anyway, I don't think the right to remain silent is in our constitution. ;B
Well, maybe you should add it!! Go on, pick up a pen, find the thing.....
No one will mind! ;D

We don't have a constitution. Laws are made according to the Declaration of Independence (http://learn.jtsa.edu/yomhaatzmaut/decloind.shtml) guidelines. Apperantly, we do have the right to remain silent - even our PM did that ;)
