Does anyone have the AGI version of KQ 4? I found misc. traces of it on my comp, but When I try to run it, I don't have the "agidata.ovl" file. Is there any possible way someone can send this to me?
And also, can someone list the files needed to run the progam? Besides the above mentioed, I think I have them all, but want to be sure.
have you tried kazaa or any of those programs?
Let me know if you get the AGI version of KQ4 to work. I've always been curious to see what it was like.
You wanna see something really interesting? Try the NES version of King's Quest 5, it's pretty interesting how they adjusted the graphics for such a limited console (compared to the computer, which was a bit more advanced than the NES at the time).

Well, Actually, I just got the KQ collection a few days ago, so I dont need it anymore (go figue, huh?), but THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for your efforts. Maybe I'll use it to access my old save game files (they dont work with the collection, funny).
I gave the KQ4 AGI a try... it's weird - everything looks so pixelated, and Rosella looks a lot fatter! :suffer:
Ofcourse she does, when you go playing a game that is supposed to be played on a 14 or 15 inch screen on a 17 inch screen or even bigger! Everything is completely blown out of proportion (well no, not out of proportion but blown out anyway).;D
The first time I saw & played KQ1, it was on a PC XT computer with a CGA monitor. The thing is, it didn't look like AGI on CGA, and it had this little sound I distinctly remember, which it used to play every once in a while.
Does anyone know anything about it? could it be a different version? ???
