When creating the lands have there been additional things added to them? For example, will there be a city on Kolyma, or will it keep to the old Kolyma without the city? ???
Definitely things are added. 8) Don't forget that KQ9 takes you to places no other KQ has ventured to before, so you'll be in for some pleasant surprises. XD
Like Yonk said, new places & old will be showing up, and I'd say there are more new ones than old ones, too. Especially since there are some new places in the old, every so often.
Since your question seems partialyl based off of AGDI's KQ2+, I'll just remind folks again that our storyline is not related to theirs, so Kolyma and it's lands were the ones we saw in the original KQ2.
But we do add some new screens to old places. I'll just be a meanie now and not say which ones. :suffer: ;D <--ain't I a stinker!
Hmm, somewhere I have gathered a mini-encyclopedia of all the spoilers you lot have given about the game so some lands must be mentioned in there somewhere! (I can remember Astratos off the top of my head and something that is on the tip of my tongue but...ermmm...nope...can't remember, I will have to post it when I do though.) ;)

Don't be surprised if you see three black vans with guys in suits and dark glasses pulling up outside your house to come and collect you at any time. ;)
Hmm, I don't think you can see the irony in what you have just said there! ;D
(Please don't ask, its a personal thing and I wouldn't even bother to elaborate anyhow!)
what may be interesting is seeing the daventry "castle" or sumthing. holy crap its been awhile wince ive played i forget soem of it. anyways. seeing daventrys caslte inside would be awesome. also learnign mroe about the twits in KQ7 that lived in the pumpkin house...woudl be aweome. not only that but the gravedigger!! aaawweeesome!!!

Can you post the mini encyclopedia? I would want to see it! If it was a book or something, I would probably buy fifty copies just in case I lost one.
Also, I'm new here! I have been observing the forum and reading it, but I have never posted anything here before. This is probably the most anticipated KQ fan game around! I'm eagerly awaiting whatever info on this game can be revealed.
Welcome friend!
I will see what I can do! (cannot find it right now but I will have a look, probably archived somewhere so "safe," I will never find it again!) :)
Its quite a good archive but nothing really, really special; just scan the forum archives and you will probably find all the really "good" ones (if you can call them that!) ;D
I just love seeing the art of the week and recognizing someplace, except now it's 3d and WAY cooler!

Wouldn't you need 50 for if you lost 49 of them :)
But yeah please post it (the spoil-o-pedia), I've got a lot of catching up to do. For a computer science student / programmer I spend a lot of time on the net. How the hell did I miss this place for so long!
Some part of the story have to take place in Sirena!! :)

Why oh why, is King's Quest unlike Quest for Glory where they actually make reference's to the place you'll be going next? (I.e.: QFG4 Dr. Cranium mention's Silmaria) I can't stand it!
Deloria, What is it with you and quoting ;P

Maybe because you'll be going to more than one place. ;)

It is now more easier to Insert Quotes from multiple posts, so there's no longer any excuse to triple post. Since Deloria posted those before we upgraded the forum, we'll let it go. ;P

Woah...that's pretty nifty!
easier to quote? how so? :P
I have a question for you guys.
Will the land of the Green Isles be limited to the locations from
KQ VI?
I always wanted to explore the rest of the city on the Isle of the Crown... ::)
I guess we're just going to have to wait and see :P
I don't know about you, but I think this screenshot (http://media.pc.gamespy.com/media/689/689584/img_3275089.html) sure looks like part of the city on the Isle of the Crown. :sneaky:
Hmmm...it does, doesn't it? ;)
Oh, stop teasing the newbie, Cat!
You know we'll be seeing more of The Green Isles in TSL 8)

Thnx Cat, I haven't ever seen that photo.
It could of corse be a different city...
I may be a Newb but that's just because I didn't
start posting here til now. I've actuly been going to this site
since fall 2005. ;D
Oops forgot to say:
Thnx Strider for the link.
I don't really visit gamespy very often. ;D
You're welcome! (Don't forget to check out the other screenshots there! ;) )
Will we be seeing any of Eldritch(such as Ooga Booga)?
I want to see more of Eldritch, especially Etheria. I want to explore the city in Etheria. Yes it would be nice to see more of OOga Booga, I would like to see what is behind the back door of Dr. Cadaver's house.
We'll be seeing Etheria, however, it's considered a different entity than Eldritch.
Etheria is everything above the clouds, Eldritch is everything below(Vulcanix, Nonsense Land, Ooga Booga, Endless Desert)
Ahh so the game is taking a slightly different interpretation of Eldritch than the official spin off literature did?
In those Eldritch was the name of the universe that Etheria and and the all the surface lands are located. Interesting thing to note, Eldritch's time is different than daventry's so while it seemed like a day or two passed while in Eldritch, only short time passed in Daventry. This is established in the authorized strategy guide, King's Quest collection, and based off the lost Graham scene in KQ7. It may have also been in the manual for the first edition of the game, but I can't seem to find my copy to be sure.
