We're going to have weekly KQIX Chamber chats every Friday and Saturday all day, starting next week on Friday, November 12th. :D

So... who else is going to be there (as in: Jeysie, Cat, FataliOmega, The Blur, B'rrr, Mango, Pineapple, apple... which people and fr00t think they can make it :P ) ? :-\
I have no idea what's going on that weekend yet, that's why. ;) I probably can show up for at least a few hours on Friday... dunno if Harrison will be able to at all (or want to).
The weekend after is most likely a no-go though... Harrison's barbershop chorus is having their annual show on the 20th.

I don't know how I missed this! Fridays and Saturdays are usually hard...but looks like the first Friday (Nov. 12) I'll be able to make it...don't know about Saturday. But I already have plans to be at school that weekend...school stuff :P
Well, Ill be at my Uncles house on friday of that week, but I should be able to come online late friday. I doubt Ill be on Saturday.

Ok...question. I was thinking about this. If Chamber's going on all day...unlike the birthday and official launch of Chamber, there won't be a chat log, right? (Be kinda, ok, very, time-consuming to read through it, that's why I was wondering)
Well dont take my word for it but what i reckon might happen is if some team members decide to drop in and are ok with answering a few questions then while they are in the chat it will be logged. Again just what i think may happen :)

Chamber is going to be available soon enough, by that I mean this week, friday and saturday are going to be the days available to start up, the availability of Chamber and the frequency of it is going to be determined by the traffic you give to it, if ppl enjoy it then we will start opening it more frequently or else we will simply keep it regularly as it may come.
Anything may happen at Chamber if either Cesar, Neil or myself get to hang in there, we may feel generous and drop out spoilers, or we may just go insane and spill some beans about what's coming ;) ... or just hang around and chat a bit :)

That's why we will have Lil Maniac, Jacana and Warlock. They'll be around not only to mod but also to assist you if you have problems with the chat itself or anything. You may also find that as an oportunity to get to know them better at first and start to get acquainted with the new schedule, I will so try to make it myself because I do miss our big chats <3, the best part is no crashy msn! :D (yeah I crash a lot over msn lol, and in general too I guess :P)

I just found out that I have to drive home on Friday to get some stuff from my bank :S I'll be driving back so I will be around on Friday, just not at the time that I thought. And because I'll probably hit rush hour, I have no clue what I'm I'll get to be around :(

I've got plans for Saturday...because of that, I won't be around for the majority of the day. But I hope to be around on some of our chats in the future if I'm not around much this weekend.
Weekends tend to be kind of bad for me lately... this past weekend was free, and I think this upcoming weekend is too, but usually it seems like Harrison always has something pulled out of his hat to go to.

Feel free to drop into chat at "odd" hours of the morning / evening, too. As I am in Australia most of you go to bed by like 5pm my time. And just think of all the trouble I could get up to in chat if I was left alone....

hmm i wont be there til about 10pm GMT 1 oclock in new york :P but i live in CA so its 10pm my time lol
When I'm on Friday, I hope to be able to get on between six and seven p.m. I may also get on first thing in the morning before I go to work...but that's only if someone's online and in Chamber.

Another note about how naive I am: When I played KQ7, I had no clue the reason why Dr. Cadaver was named so. In fact, it wasn't until years later, when one of my friends was studying to be an occupational therapist and she talked about having to work on cadavers that I finally got it!
Oh...and...I was able to get everything worked out, so I WON'T have to drive home on Friday. And thus, I'll be able to spend more time in Chamber than I thought. Granted, I'll be leaving occasionally to do laundry, but I'm sure ya'll will forgive me for that :P

Connecting might be a little slow, you should give it some time to connect, I am currently there and I plan to be there for most of the day, so if you see me in the room odds are it's working, but as I said, just give it some time to connect, it took me a few minutes despite my connection. :)

The big question...how in the world do I convince the school to let me chat in Chamber if they have IRC connections blocked? ::)
Here's some food for thought.
My guess would be that the reason Koko can't connect is that her school's connection blocks the typical IRC ports. So what we should try, I think, is to figure out how she can connect (or at least fake connecting) from unblocked ports. The one port guaranteed to not be closed is Port 80, and I could swear I once read how to connect to IRC servers (or make it seem to a firewall like you're connecting) over Port 80, but I'm drawing a blank. Anyone else have any ideas?

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know. I'm over in AGDI's chat and having no trouble accessing it. I think I was told that they use Port 8000...not that I know what that means. But if it will give ya'll any insite as to why I can't access Chamber but I can access their's, thought you'd like to know.
EDIT: oh yeah...and they use everywherechat.com
There's a way to do it using sockets and port forwarding. But that might be a bit too complex for Koko, and she might get in trouble for trying to evade their firewall. :P

Am I the only one who's beginning to dount that there really is an answer to this "riddle"? Maybe we're being led on here?
I'm actually starting to think one would be more likely to solve it by printing it out, dumbfoundedly drooling over its contents in a vain attempt to discover its meaning, then afterwards counting the number of spittle drips and measuring very carefully the precise distances between each, and finally using the gathered data to make some sort of crytographical formula that solves the whole mess.

As for me, I'm not sure of any specific times at all on Friday (depends on a lot of factors), but I'll surely have all Saturday morning available till noon, and probably a little later too. I'm just thinking it would be nice if we could all have some idea when others will be on. Thanks.

Except for the beginning and end of the chat(beginning of Friday, and end of Saturday, EST), I'll probably show up for long periods of time at random(or short periods of time at random... it all depends).

Well, the chatroom is gonna be opened all friday and all saturday, it is supposed to have AT LEAST one mod active in there.
personally, I can tell you the times I'll be on, I work on weekdays from 4 pm to 8 pm and on weekends from 8 am to 12 noon, that means I will get in the morning and night on friday, and in the afternoon on saturday.
My time is one hour ahead of EST time, which means for example right now on the forum it says it is 7:40pm and in here it is 8:40 pm
And if you don't show up, I will personally go stalk you at AGDI and bring you here... darnit! :D

hmm sry Warlock wish i could but im getting an error trying to connect tot he chamber from tsl-game.com/chat :P this comp doesn't have mirc so i cant get on til later today :( but i was on 3arlier about 3 hours after the chamber opened i think? it was midnight at my house :P
I know that the chamber is not 'officially' closed, but I am heading off to bed now, and when I wake up the chamber will no longer be open for yet another week. It's been quite fun, although my time to actually chat has been limited this weekend, atleast we had great turn-out and everything ran really smoothly... man, next weekend seems too far away... ;)
yes well Chamber is closed now and although last wekend my time was limited very limited i was able to be in Chamber for a long time today. it was fun :) and all of you that wasn't there you missed out on the fun in the Chamber

I had a great time, too, of course! Lots of cool/nice people hang out around here, and I'm glad to have met so many of them. Naturally, on the top of that list is Say! <3 What a sweet, funny, cheerful, caring, interesting, talented and humble young lady she is! I can honestly say that my days (all six of them, lol) have been a little brighter since meeting her. Who am I kidding, they've been a lot brighter! :D I can only hope that I've brightened her days half as much as she has mine. You're a very cool person, Sayd, and a great friend.

Speaking of which, TK and I decided to play some of the games on MSN Messenger after Say headed to bed. And no, we didn't play strip poker! We played one game of checkers that lasted way too long. We got down to each having only one or two kings, and we had them just chasing each other around the board like idiots. But TK, the big dummy, wouldn't agree to a draw until nearly half an hour went by! After that, despite the late hour, we stupidly agreed to try some of the other games as well. I was so tired I could hardly think straight, and our taunting at each other gradually turned into flaming, lol! :P We finally quit at about 3:00 o'clock EST, which I believe is both of our actual time zones. And now I'm up still later making this stupid post! I'm such and idiot, I NEED SLEEP!! :sleepy:
Okay, so now I'm finally headed to bed myself. I wonder if I can even stay awake long enough to.....

That computer just had Windows XP installed - I heard somewhere that it removes the Java VM.

Well, looks like I missed the wedding. :'( Should have apid more attention. Well on weekends I am busy sleeping, watching cartoons and going to church, sometimes drawing, sometimes writing my stories. On Sunday I'm pretty busy with church.

Once it's time for Chamber to close, everyone gets to be an operator of the channel, and you keep kicking as many people out as you can. XD
Yonkey likes to give us all sub-mod privileges at the end, and we all try to kick each other off while staying in the chat. ;) I usually managed about 4 or 5 jumps back in before it was completely closed. XD

Since a few people have asked me about opening Chamber for Christmas, I finally decided to do it! XD
I've added a poll to this thread. Pick which timeslot you'll be able to attend: Dec 29/30 or Jan 5/6. 8)
Right now, I say "neither"...because of plans already made, I'm not sure what will happen.
For me, Jan 5th & 6th works better than the 29th & 30th. :)

Well, I could set up YonkMod for Dec to log everything, but I'd be able to be there more myself in Jan. Based on the current results, it looks like it'll be Jan. XD

Chamber?
It is a TSL chat-room, its only been open once since I got here more than a year ago.
It used to be open every Friday night I think, or something like that. The one time it was open while I've been here I kept getting errors and couldn't figure out how to get in. :-\ :P
I think it was actually open all weekend every week, it was great... XD
Friday and Saturday, actually. XD A full 48 hours of awesomeness. :P

It was great... until it dropped to 2 or 3 people sporadically appearing the entire weekend. :P
The problem is no one really has the time anymore. Most people don't even have the time/interest to post in the Forum, let alone a chatroom. :-\
Don't get me wrong, Chamber works great as a meeting place for special events and occasions, but anything more is just not worth it.
Things change with time and at that point in time, Chamber was a great thing that brought the fans together. At this point in time Chamber just wouldn't work, people support the project at a different level as of late.
I wonder. Weekly cessions would quickly loose glamor and become unpopulated, monthly or 6 times a year might not. :) Still, it might serve little purpose in the end.
