And in case any of you are wondering, Alhazred's was left off since the castle wasn't his! :suffer:
It was a tough choice between Lolotte's castle and Mordack's, but Mordack wins. His was SO ominous.
I'm going with Lolotte's castle :o Hmmm... I wonder why??? ::)
Mannanan's...
because of that mountain path(he never had to worry about unwanted visitors ;P ). :P
I would go for Mannanan's castle for two reasons:
A) So called "Unassuming Houses," often hide the worst horror's.
B) If I was to buy a castle in the time of KQ I would go for his (assuming I couldn't half-inch the Royal Castle of Daventry ala Mordack!) because it looks to be in the best knick! (Malicia must have terrible problems with drainage/sinking foundations!)
I went with Malicia's swamp...probably because of the gargoyle :P
Mordack's castle.
It's the prefect villain hideout - an ominous island, complete with chasms of molten lava, a maze, dungeons, weird creatures lurking about and a living pipe organ that's really worth restoring the game for having played it ;)
Also, it's far more elaborate and/or explorable than the rest 8)
Plus, it has a way to die thats so moronic, I didn't even think of doing it. Try to swim off the island. ;)
okay, Storm's presentation MAY have swayed my vote :o THAT pic IS pretty ominous, and all the description, sounds like lots of perils, and well... that's my hot button ::) *wonders about this organ playing fate :P Anyhoo, so good job Storm!!! :)
Woohoo! I sway!! that's like, almost rock! :D
Just for you, I'll include the living organ pic free of charge ;)
Whoa, funky! (I have never played KQ V so this is a new experience for me!) ;D
awwww, thanks Storm, that was sweet ;D *teleports Rosella into game, wiggles fingers and prepares to play organ ::)
(makes pretend organ noises to simulate this event)
"Du-du-du-duuuhhhh, Du-du-du-duuuhhhh!"
By God that was a useless post!
Mordack's Castle -- if you forgot to get the crystal from the cave the two dragons would fry you :suffer:

WHAT?! You've never played KQ V before?! It's the best one! (well in my opinion anyways)
KQ VI was the best in my opinion because I liked teleporting to all the different islands and I like how they had you go to the Lord of the Dead.
Mordacks remote island all the way :P XD
Lolotte's mountain-top castle! She had those cool vampireish henchmen and again, an annoying mountain path to navigate when you're being chased!

Actually, you only had to navigate down that path once... and never *while* being chased. When you were being chased, you just had to wait for a moment to get a 'lift' ;)
i agree with dew7. King's Quest VI is definitely the best one; it's got two endings. That's pretty cool.
Mordack's castle all the way. That thing is awesome! 8)
Mordack's castle takes the cake for creepiest...
Although Lolotte's castle is cool, it doesn't compare to the creepiness and gloom of Mordack's castle, I think Mordack's castle has more dangers. He even has a slave to scrub the floors. (Cassima)
