"Star Sprinkles" are what Rainbow used to give/restore color to things and people.

Looks vaguely familiar but definitely not a cartoon I religiously watched as a kid. ;) Too girly. ;)

No, Rainbow Brite has nothing to do with Care Bears, although they apparently got their start the same way (as greeting card themes). And NO DISSING THE CARE BEARS! :P

We CARE!  We CARE!

Ah yes.  The Care Bears and Rainbow Brite.  Let's not forget the Smurfs and Gem (truly outrageous).  And speaking of bears there were the Gummy Bears in the late 80's.  Actually a good cartoon too.

Did I actually watch those shows?  Oh yeah.  But before you go thinking I'm some sort of girly girl or something, note that I balanced it out with a healthy dose of Voltron, GI Joe, Transformers, Robotech, Battle of the Planets and Star Blazers. :D.  And let's not forget He-Man and She-Ra (I had a crush on her - a crush on a cartoon!  That's kind of sad....;))

I was so going to add some cartoons that I loved, but everyone has named them...even some I forgot.  Granted, I'm an early 80's child (1983), so I caught the tail end of most of the cartoons (at least, the part I remember).  I loved He-man and She-ra...Chip N' Dale's Rescue Rangers, didn't watch much of Duck Tales, that was more of my sister's thing.  But I remember there would be two hours of cartoons right after school.  I think it started with Duct Tales, Rescue Rangers, TaleSpin, and there was one more, that at the moment I can't remember.

Love My Little Pony, Care Bears (I have a scream that I was once nicknamed Shreaky (sp?) after the bad guy's niece...told you, horrible memory!)...I think I could go on and on, but I'll just stop here and spare all of you!  ;-D

I so do not like some of the newer ones, where the mouth is huge...like a black hole and it opens and closes...no form or shape to the letters/words at all...and the whole time they may be saying something such as "look out!" their mouth is open!  I like to see cartoons becoming more realistic, not less!

Great cartoons!! We actually have most, if not all, of Duck Tales and Talespin on videotape. ;D We have some of Chip+Dale as well.

I really love the old cartoons like Rainbow Brite and Strawberry Shortcake and My Little Pony. I had a Strawberry Shortcake doll and a bunch of My Little Ponies, wish I could find them now. I had a strange dream last night where I went to my old house that I grew up in, from when I was 7 to when I was about 14, and I was searching for my old toys, dolls (like my little ponies) and fairytale books.

I still watch cartoons, I like the Winx Club on fox, and some anime like Sailor Moon, Mew-mew power and One Peice. I also like Sonic the hedgehog and Batman. My ultimate favorite cartoon while growing up was He-man and She-ra. I wanted to be She-ra!
