I have decided to set out on a QUEST.
I Patrick Miller proclaim that I will replay and beat the entire Kings Quest Series in 30 dayes. This may sound easy to most, but I have to do it with out any help from a walkthrough, UHS file, and anyone. As an added twist I don't own a working copy of Kings Quest 8. Impossible you may be saying, but I ensure you I will find a way...I will find a way. I will post my progress day by day, And you can post your comments of what you think.
:stabs:

If you need the maze map I can give you that too. Hope it helps! ;)
You mean that maze is MAPPABLE?? :o
I was sure it's totally random, and wandered around it for ages till I reached the right location :(
I actually have a map of it printed. The thing is, the maze turns as you do, so you need to rotate the map to make sure you're going the right way. :-\

*Jump In Well Laughs insanely (if thats a word) then jumps in the well
since i can't have help i have to graph a map my self :P :stabs:
And now for a VERY subtle question: WHERE ARE YOU NOW? ::)
I can’t help but think that this is a very, very, brave man.
Good luck dude, remember no mater how log it takes you the journey is well worth it…but you already know that. Have fun, keep us posted! :D

What kind of problem?
I bet it froze in the ending sequence!! Nooo, I hated that bug!!
Oh I remember that bug. Was a real pain. :P
it freezes up at the wand machine :stabs:
try restarting the computer when that happens
dosent work says out of heap space :stabs:
Yes, i remember that.... but i just cant quite remember what i did to get around that...
When I had that problem, I would go to the settings control panel in the game and lower the detail level as far as it would go. It doesn't change anything visually and it sometimes helps get over the problem.
When that happened to me I deleted one of my game files and tried it again. It worked!!! ;D
I'll try that
:stabs:
Searched at Sierra Planet:
You receive an OUT OF HEAP message at Mordack's machine (Windows version). An entire list of things to do. Try setting the game speed to high and the game detail to low for Windows 95 as well.
And Searched in the Technical help document of KQ5:
Problem: You receive an OUT OF HEAP message at Mordack's machine (Windows version).
Solution:
1. For Windows 3.1 run Windows in Standard mode by typing: WIN/S
2. In the game's Control Panel, raise the SPEED to maximum and lower the DETAIL to minimum.
3. Make a Windows 3.1 boot disk. The instructions for creating a bootdisk are called BDWIN31. In addition to the standard configuration lines, add the following: STACKS=9,256
4. Make sure that the Windows version of the game is the only application active. Disable all Screen Savers and close all other applications.
5. Turn off any different shells for Windows (i.e. Norton Desktop, PC Tools, Kid's Desk, etc).
6. Try playing under DOS instead of Windows.
7. Run the MS-DOS CHKDSK to check for lost allocation units or other errors on your hard drive (if you have MS-DOS 6.2 or higher, use the SCANDISK program). If MS-DOS reports error(s) found, then you should correct the allocation table problems. First, back up any irreplaceable data from the affected hard drive. To correct lost allocation units or other errors on the hard drive, use the CHKDSK /F command or any other disk diagnostics utility such as PC Tools, Norton Utilities, or Scandisk. Consult your MS-DOS or Disk Utility manual for more information. If you have corrected any hard drive errors, delete any files associated with the game from your hard drive, verify that you have plenty of free hard drive space and re- install the game. Be sure and backup your saved games. If you are using any disk compression such as Double Space, you will need twice as much free hard drive space as the game normally uses.

Or:
When I throw the cheese into Mordack's machine, an error comes up saying, "OUT OF HEAP SPACE." Why is this?
This is Sierra's way of informing you that your computer is out of memory. Make sure that KQ5 is the only application that you are running. If this doesn't work, try running the game in DOS rather than Windows. If neither of these solutions work, your computer simply does not have enough memory to run the game. Upgrade your RAM. If none of these works, or if you simply don't want to try them, go to this URL ( http://www.mattgerrald.net/savedgame.exe (http://www.mattgerrald.net/savedgame.exe) ) to download a saved game right after the point where this error occurs. Make sure you put the game in the Saved Game directory for the KQ5 game.
All I found. Are you all too lazy to just search at google?
thank you if it works then i will pick up from the nunmbers of days i had left :stabs:
HUZZA IT WORKED! I shall start where i left off (april 27) :stabs:
hows it cominga long? ;)
I know this is irrelevent now, but in Mordack's maze you can click the "eye" icon outside the black box and a compass will appear. With the compass and a good map, I found this sequence fairly easy.
I wish i had know that!!!!!
It was on one of the Sierraplanet sites a while back, I was trying to find out how to climb the whale tongue.
