1. Studied for my vocabulary tests.
2. Got a 9 and 9 1/2 on said tests, so I was pretty happy. :) The lowest passing grade is 6 = 80% correct.
3. Met with my literature teacher about my final paper, which she said was very good, so I was happy about that as well.
4-8. Went home, ate a sandwich, finished reading Agatha Christie's "Five Little Pigs," checked my emails, played Neopets, remembered my situation with my housemates and sulked some more before going to take a nap (stayed up very late studying).
9. Got woken up around 7pm by my housemate/friend who wanted to know if I wanted to go shopping with her. I went with her.
10. Shopping then dinner (pannenkoekenhuis!) with nice conversation with housemate, learned new insight into the housemate problem and realised that hope remained!!
11. Went home and talked for another hour.
12. Checked Neopets and found that the war had finally started, yay! And all the lag that goes with it. :-\
13. Came here, posted on a few boards, then started a completely useless one. :)

Neopets is a huge site (I think the biggest entertainment one), which is centered around virtual pets. Sort of. It's a whole virtual economy/world in its own right. :) It currently has close to 100 million "owners" and 140 million pets, 250,998,000,000 page views, and right now it's getting 10,000 page view per second. Good heavens. O.o
So anyway, you've probably at least heard of it? They're coming out with 2 PS2 games this year, I think, and Warner Bros. is making a movie. ::) They have a rather extensive merchandise line (go look in walmart or target and such :P). The entire (MASSIVE) site is translated into Portugese, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Chinese x2, Japanese, and Korean.
Well, they have so much junk over there, I can't explain it all. If you want to dare venturing into this... world, here's a good site to reference to if you have questions:

Haha, yeah, well, the nice thing about neopets is that you don't *really* have to play regularly, it depends how much time you want to give. ;) Doing the daily freebies takes maybe 10 minutes. But there's enough to do there to take up ALL your time, so play in moderation! :P
And yes, petpetpets. XD They're all bugs, though. You get them as random events (your petpets find them). ;) I have more trades up for you, BTW. Good luck furnishing your Neohome! But now I REALLY am going to bed, haha! :P

Ahhh...I see...well, I think I'll play Pyramids just about daily...seems it's the best way to build up funds quickly...well, more quickly then trying to master the other games.
Games are just plain not the way to earn loooots of np. ;) But they ARE fun and a lot of them give you avatars and trophies and such, if you get good at them. And be careful, it's really easy to become a Pyramids junkie! XD

There are lots of boards that don't have to do with KQ, this one is deceptively titled "Off-Topic," but I guess you mean "Other-Topics that don't have any other board." :P And on this and other boards, there are LOTS of threads that wander around aimlessly and don't get assimilated Borg-like into another thread. Then the whole thing wouldn't make any sense at all.
I think maybe you should now changed the title to "Day, Neopets, and Off-Topic" or something. Nooo, it now has 3 distinct topics!! :o :o :o Assimilation City! ;P

You might be confusing Off-Topic with the We're in Haven board. The majority of threads in Off-Topic stay on topic, while in the Haven forum they do exactly what you're describing. If you like, I can move this topic there and it can continue to change topics freely. :)

I've heard the word 'neopet' somewhere before but don't really recall where and most certainly didn't know there was a site devoted to it. Anyway, all free time I can scrape atm goes into playing an RPG, or watching one of the many DVD-movies I procured lately. So there's absolutely no room/time for another thing right now. Even now I'm neglecting some things I used to do before I got hooked on that RPG game. :-\ And besides that, the Neopets-site just froze my browser. :-X

O.o Neopets is actually what made me switch from IE to Mozilla. :P Now I do most things through Moz and only have a few IE windows open for restocking, because IE is the only one I've found that works with the Windows' mouse snap-to feature. It's saves precious seconds when haggling for that rare item. ;P
Anyway, a stable browser is recommended. :)

Linux is stable, FireFox is stable when browsing other sites, so it has to be something Neopets-site tried to do but wasn't allowed to, methinks. IE for Linux is a no go, unless you have a working wine, which I do not. Restocking? Mouse snap-to feature ??? I'm completely lost there.
Fwee off-topic-y insanity thread-name-changing-and-board-moving-ness. I got addicted to neopets around 4th grade or so. I made everyone insane with my obsessive-ness. Then I couldn't get on as much because I was so busy. I have two main accounts, one where I'm the co-leader of a guild (but the leader's just as inactive as I am.) The other is the one I use for games and stuff. I also spent 560,000 np on a labray set :P

So. copycay, restocking happens about 8 times per hour, it's when all the site-run shops refill their stock. Any good items are gone in under a second. I usually have 5 shops open at once. When the items stock and you see one you want, you click on it and a dialog box pops up, Here's where the snap-to feature comes in (if you have Windows it's under the Mouse options menu). It automatically moves the mouse to the default button when a dialog box pops up. So instead of clicking something, then moving the mouse to click "OK," I just double-click and go immediately to the haggle page. :)
No idea about the browser problem, sorry. I just signed up for Premium so I no longer have the ads, hooray! XD Things go smoother without those.

I used to go on neopets several years ago. Thats where I first made up the username Tesspoon. I couldn't think up a user name when I was first making up an account, and there was this big wooden spoon on the desk next to me for some reason. So i added the word spoon to the end of my name, and I've used it since.
