I haven't seen half of these, but at one point I was addicted to Digimon, so I'll go with that. :P
I was obsessed with Pokemon and Sailor Moon before I realized that after missing one episode, plots became unfollowable. :P I've hated anime ever since. But my friend who is an anime addict says Fullmetal Alchemist (because Edward is cute.) So I'll go with that. XD
Digimon. :P
I'm not too familiar with a lot of these, but if I could pick another anime series to be an adventure game it would be The Slayers. :) That would be fun.
Digimon
some of these series i don't know but from all this would be the best for me
Now that I think about it...
Due to the fights/battles, it would either end up being an Adventure-RPG, or the fights would be puzzle-based(due to the "levels" of the creatures, IÂ think there'd still be a bit of RPG in it). :P
So, Tenchi Muyo(sp?) might make a better Adventure game(there's fighting/battles in the show, but due to their nature, you could make it fit into the Adventure genre). Though I think a Tenchi Muyo Adventure game would be VERY odd(the show is strange enough). XD
I take offense to this poll and refuse to vote ;P
**votes imaginary 'NONE OF THE ABOVE' option XD
did ya have to use all the shows i don't like? :P
*None of the above*
I'm other not too familiar with with the Animes listed, or for the most part can hardly stand them.....
So I would have to pick the invisible 'other' choice.
I do agree with Farquhar though....

Square have released two Fullmetal Alchemist games, don't know if they were released outside of Japan though :-\
Anyway I personally reckon anime series make better RPG's, but Cowboy Bebop might make a good adventure game :D
Cowboy bebop didn't even cross my mind.
I'm so ashamed... ;]
But it would be great!
Hmm... You could make Pokemon kinda Quest For Glory-esque... You'd have to have the fighting somehow. Haha... instead of picking magic user, theif or fighter, you could pick Bulbasaur, Squirtle or Charmander. :P
No, my vote goes for other: Puchi Puri Yuushi! (Petite Princess Yucie)
And only because I'm obsessed with Princess Maker (the game it's based on) at the moment.
I'll stop talking about this game now.
I really need to get my life back. *whimpers*
I think Digimon and sailor moon are the most common to me (you forgot that rubbish show astro boy). I think its digimon.
I bought an Inu-Yasha book and read it, the first version, I only know a little bit about Inu-Yasha. I've watched Sailor Moon and I like it somewhat, but I wish Serena would stop whining. I hear the Japanese version of Sailor Moon is different and better than the American version.
In Japan, anime has some gay characters, in America you're not allowed to have gay cartoon characters, gov believes that would corrupt children.
I just started watching anime this year. I usually only watch stuff in Japanese that's been subtitled by fans.
While I'm sure all the stuff that's been licensed and dubbed in English and shown in America is good, I think almost all of it is better in Japanese. Like you said, because it's a cartoon, America assumes it's for kids, even though they write anime for all ages in Japan. So America could take a great anime meant for adults and then completely butcher it and market it to kids. They're also less concerned with finding (and paying) good voice actors, since it's just "some cartoon for kids." While in Japan, anime is a HUGE genre that gets a lot more respect and budget than it does here, so their voice actors are often much better.
Lol. I feel like a total nerd now. :P
DBZ has already had one game that was semi action-adventure....so yeah....
they never show those shows on my channels anymore, i remember waching sailor moon on Fox Kids (now Jetix which i dont watch). Ad digimon gradually got unpopular, now its Drawn Together http://www.comedycentral.com/shows/drawn_together/index.jhtml
Sailor Moon because...I don't know. Strong women characters?
Sailormoon because It's my favourite. Where do you think the "Mercury" in my name came from? ;)
Mind you, they do have an RPG of it already, as well as many side-scrolling fighter games and puzzle games, so I'm already spoilt. Unless this means the KQIX team would make a Sailormoon adventure game ;) Makeitmakeitmakeit.
The anime that is usually screwed up is the common ones like Pokemon and Dragonball Z, because crappy companies get the rights to them and feel as though they are kids shows. Therefore cutting out all the blood and violence :-\
4Kids tend to do alot of butchering to Pokemon
FMA would make an excellent adventure game, even though there'd HAVE to be fighting in it as well. Conversing with people to learn clues about the Philosopher's Stone, coming up with a plan to capture Siren, avoiding Scar, using alchemy to transmute inventory objects... plenty of opportunities here!
I like Inu-yasha even though I've only read one book of it. I'd like to have more anime but I'd have to buy the videos/dvds from Sam Goody's and they can be expensive.
I didn't vote for anything...what about Bleach? ???
Kenshin has the most depth... it would make a great adventure game. ;)
Don't know any of them. *starts chant* ESCAPISM ESCAPISM ESCAPISM!
