I can't believe it; in just a few days, it'll be here! *bounces around* Anybody else going to see it? I think it looks a-pretty-pretty good! ;D
Yup! XD But probably later on in December.
Im seeing this at midnight tommorow at a special cinema staff preview screening ;D Cannot wait, although im still a little hesitant on the LOTR style uber battles...keeping my hopes high though!
I can't wait to see it! I REALLY hope I can convince the fam to see it over break. Though, I'm sure it's not going to take a lot of convincing :P
Haven't heard of it, so that means we probably won't be getting it for a few more weeks :-\
Oh dear.
I'm not going to post any in depth discussions or reasoning but...
I really quite hated that film.
That is all.
:'(
I liked it. I think that LOTR is better but I liked it.
If you like Narnia, watch this!! It's from SNL, and HILARIOUS!

I saw the movie a few days ago. It was pretty good, but don't expect a LOTR or anything. :P
Thought it was pretty crappy... at least the acting of the two boys... holy crap. Girls were believable.
That's what I get for seeing a movie geared towards a younger-than-me grouping. :D
And that SNL video was PRICELESS!
was it actually any good?
I saw it a couple weeks ago, and I liked it a lot! It wasn't perfect, of course (I thought Jadis's outfits were a little ridiculous), but, overall, the movie was faithful to the book.
i saw it and i have three letters for ya:
W-O-W
Loved it! My favorite line HAS to be:
"It's a beaver! It's not supposed to SAY anything!"

that was funny. i don' tget why peter had to hold up his sword when they wanted to see aslan
Yeah, I didn't really get that either. Maybe I should read the book to see if it says anything about it.
naw, it doesn't

If I remember right, Peter raises the sword because it seems like the proper way to address an important person. It comes off as awkward in the book and in the movie by design; Peter's not used to this sort of thing. :)
Well, I saw the movie and I loved it! I'm not a good judge of acting. I like the medieval costumes that the children wore. Yes, Jadis' outfits were ridiculous. I liked Lucy and her innocence and friendliness. Aslan was great. I liked the music and how the movie began, with the horrors of WWII.

My thoughts exactly.
I saw The Chronicles Of Narnia at the Movies yesterday and i really liked it, in my opinion it was better then Harry Potter.
I dont know the Books or the TV Show, but when i saw the Movie, it started out good, but then it all of a sudden looked like someone pressed the Fast Forward Button and the Movie ends just when it was starting to get interesting. Im still confused as to what the Movie is about.
What is the Origin of this Closet and Narnia, i didint see any special Wardrobe in the Movie.
I saw on the Internet that the Second Movie will come out in 2007 and i read that they will turn all 5 books into Movies and maybe the last two Books to Movies aswell.
If they make all 7 Books into Movies, the last Movie will end up in 2020
I never knew there were 7 Books http://books.narnia.com/chronicles/books/index.html and it looks like the TV Series stopped at the Silver Chair, any reason why they didint continue the TV Series. http://www.tv.com/the-chronicles-of-narnia/show/37844/episode_guide.html&season=1
You can now buy the TV Series on DVD aswell, http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=285;5;-1;-1&sku=433536 but i think i'll buy the New Movie version of Narnia on DVD
Witch is better, the TV version, or the Movie version.
I hope this Movie "Or Movies" doesent become Harry Potter Versions where they cut out big important parts just to confuse the people who never read the Books.
I can already see that Narnia is much better then Harry, ooh lets start a Poll just for the fun of it. "Witch 7 Books/Movies are more Fantastical and Magical in everyway"
If that person had lived a few years ago and started writing the 7 Books Of Narnia with JK Rowling who started her 7 Books of Harry, would they have real Competition.
The Magician's Nephew explains the origins of Narnia and explains how the wardrobe was built from special wood from Narnia. You should read the books to enjoy the movie more, in my opinion.
Its a weird way to start when this person wrote the books, he writes a second book where he tells us the beginning of everything, but the First Book plus the 3d, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, continues the Story. The Second Book is like a Giant Flash Back and it should've been the First Story to tell.
Actually, The Magician's Nephew was written last.
The Last Battle was written last.
In the original writings by C.S. Lewis, The Magician's Nephew was placed last in the series, even though it is, chronologically, considered the first book of the series.
What was the original order?
I always thought it was
Lion, the witch and the wardrobe
Prince Caspian
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
The Silver Chair
The Horse and His Boy
Magician's Nephew
The Last Battle
I've always heard that it was The Last Battle and then the Magician's Nephew.
But in the BBC version, they get to go home, don't they?

lol, I'm sorry Deloria...what exactly are you asking. I mean, which movie are you talking about?
I just googled the topic cat and my order is correct -- at least according to this website.

lol, sorry Cat, I'm talking about the Lion, the Witch and the wardrobe. I thought they got to go home in the BBC version.
They did in all the movies/the book too, right?
In the book they went home and in the recent movie the children went home too. I have not seen the BBC version.
