Title: Site changes re: Vivendi deal
Post by: TribeHasSpoken on December 09, 2005, 01:44:46 PM
Now that Phoenix and Vivendi have struck a deal, will this mean any majoy changes for the site? Also, will content that was previously removed from the site because of the C&D be reinstated?

Yes and yes. XD

But, it'll take a while to make all these changes, so sit back and relax.  8)

You could just bookmark it in your web browser, unless you often view the site at school.

It's my homepage. ;P But I often will just type it in if I'm browsing somewhere else.

I think whatever comes will be loved, because it's obviously our oportunity to get this done right. It might take time to adapt, but still, we're thankful about the outcome of it all.

I'm wondering if it might be easier to incorporate everything into the postudos.com site rather than try to complete the POS site as well as a new Silver Lining site.

We've thought of our many options and we now know what to do, thanks for the thoughts, though :)

Shard, any comments about the project's revival should be posted in the thread The Silver Lining (http://www.postudios.com/blog/forum/index.php?topic=3219.0).

I see the old promotional content has been restored. Thank you very much for your quick action.

I've just noticed that the site's FAQ (http://www.tsl-game.com/info/faq/) still indicates that the project has ceased production. I'm not sure if you'll want to fix that now, or just wait for the shift to the new site. I'm not sure if it's necessary to update now, especially since the fact that the project has recommenced production is reflected all over the site.

Thanks for pointing that out, to be honest, evaluating all the content and material that must be changed, gives me a headache. We'll update that info as soon as we get to it, my friend :)

And time!, I've been working specifically by periods of time lately, otherwise I get no sleep and late to work. I'm stuck at the office all day mostly, so it's hard for me time-up my time for KQIX as well, but lately I have had to do that, being extremely busy in between PR duties more than Web duties.

It's going to be 'amusing' :P, indeed.

A question:

Will be the Gallery back?

I'd want to see that amazing artwork again!  ;D

PS: Waiting for Translate the game into Spanish ;)

Hurra!! The Silver Lining is alive!!  ;D

I just finished making some minor site changes, the most noticable ones being to the disclaimer at the bottom of every page, and the Subscribe to Newsletter being added back to the main page. :)

I was actually going to update the FAQ as well, but I noticed there's quite a lot in there that needs to be updated.  The site changes are definitely going to take some time, since "King's Quest IX" and "KQIX" are pretty much everywhere on this site. :P

Actually, the Art of the Week and Gallery were never taken down, but thanks for letting me know that the template images weren't showing up.  Both galleries are now fixed. :)

The *old* legal text is still present in the web:

Don't worry, we'll update that page as well eventually.  For now, it's suffice to say that we have legal permission from Vivendi to continue. :)

When I searched in google with "The Silver Lining" (quoted included) the info it returned was:

"King's Quest IX: "Every Cloak Has A Silver Lining" is the unofficial, fan-designed
ninth episode in the series."

Only posted as info, I think it could be important.

I've noticed that the fan site http://www.silverlininggame.com (http://www.silverlininggame.com) leads back here. A sign of things to come, perhaps?

However, scrolldown completely from above link and you should be able entering your email address.
