Title: New Flash Intro
Post by: Yonkey on August 09, 2006, 09:19:40 AM
Now that the Flash Intro (http://www.tsl-game.com) is more polished, what does everyone think of it? :)

Be sure to clear your internet cache before clicking the above link, since I updated it just a couple days ago. 8)

EDIT:  What are your favourite parts, and why? ;D

Thanks! ;D  I should mention that it's best seen using Internet Explorer, since Firefox seems to have issues with playing flash on time. ::)

Yeah, the one during the Making Of video was actually more of a Work In Progress, but it was still such a really great song that we decided to make it into a CD single. :)

I like it a lot! And while I'm at it, I should probably mention how amazing the demo is. It has just captured the spirit of the original KQ games. i love how when you click on something you can't take or aren't supposed to, the narrator says something witty, like, "You don't know where that's been." Plus, the graphics are just phenomenal. I've never seen a better looking castle daventry! Thanks guys for all your hard work and beautiful production!  :D

Thanks for the nice comments! Even though we are still working on bugs and whatnot to shape up the game, it is nice that you have enjoyed the 3D adaptation of it :)

Welcome! :)

It's the castle of the crown, actually, but it does look really good, inside and out. Although I wish we could go down the side path like in kq6... But for the new flash intro, I loved the song! I really do like the song, although personally I thought the one in the making of video sounded better. Hey, at least I'm being honest here!  ;)

I liked the version in the Making Of better too. :)

But gosh the other versions are addictive. XD

What intro?   There's no intro in the demo I downloaded, and even though I'm on broadband, the into never loads from the main page of the welcome screen.  Also when I try to open the  Hint Book, a Macromedia flash page opens - empty. *sigh*  Also the narrative bits would be strengthened by a fine-tuning  from a  writer...they're very sloppily written.   The graphics are beautiful, and the animated trees that move with the wind are awesome.

Reinstalling Flash Player (or updating to a newer version) should hopefully help with the website intro and the hintbook.
