theres a new kh coming out this fall!! its an extended version of kh2 (you fight roxas and other fun stuff) and it has the kh:com in 3d (like from kh:com's end credits). its a ps2 game :D
The one with KH:CoM is Final Mix+, but it is still undetermined whether it will get released outside of Japan. :-\
The remake for KH:CoM is named ReChain of Memories. XD

[/spoiler]But a bit off-topic, I would really hate it if Kingdom Hearts III was released on the PS3. I would prefer it either be cross platform or Wii. Besides, Wii makes more sense to me. You can wield the keyblade in real time, making you feel like your in the game. It's just my opinion though. I'm looking forward to playing Final Mix+, but I heard that beating Re:CoM is crucial before starting KHII:Final Mix+. Any thoughts? Oh, and an American release date is heavily rumoured for September, but nothing is confirmed quite yet. Cross your fingers!

I'll settle for the 360, but the PS3 is really too far out of my reach. I can't afford it anyway, and considering that I have a Wii already, it's easier. Or, we can all compromise. How about a cross-platform release. That way, the fans of the PS3 360 and Wii are all satisfied simultaneously. And there could be a PS2 version for those that don't havy any "Next Gen" consoles. And let's not start a war in here, okay? ;D

squareenix isnt rady to go to the ps3. they havent finished adapting to the new code yet. but they are loyal to sony, as they may have made games for other systems, but they havent ever ditched sony for another system and most of their games are sony exclusives. i doubt that itll be on a non-sony system.
Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+ will definitely hit PS2. Who could be stuffed reprogramming the game for PS3 or other new gen consoles?

Unfortunately, I don't know how to play Avi files. I downloaded a low-res version, and it only came with sound on Windows Media Player and Real Player. Can someone help me figure out what's wrong with it? I'd really like to watch it, but I can't for some reason.... Also, KHinsider has some great news stuff on it! jason, i completely agree that emulators are far worse than backwards compatability. but here in the states, nothing but high end pcs and macs can stand up to the ps3.
i think that kh:fm+ would be better on the ps3. they could add much more stuff due to the extra space of the bluray. the graphics would be better, and they could use the sixaxis. instead of playing a card, youd jab or swing the controller.
a normal kh game might be able to double on ps3 and wii, but not kh:com. the card battle system would be horrible on wii.

The download is an 80 MB high definition version (and boy, does it look good enlarged! I love that new media player! XD), but you can also get a low res version either streamed or downloaded, in Avi form. Youtube has a low res, KHInsider also has it streamed right in one of their news posts (You'd have to search for it probably. May not be directly on the main page. Probably in page two or three of the news.) It's good though.
The ps3 for KH: Final Mix.... I'm not too sure about that... First of all, it would take significantly longer to make that than it would the PS2 version, and second of all, a PS3 version of it would have to be rebuilt from the ground up. I think all their really doing is adding elements here and there (lots of them! XD) Re:CoM though perhaps, if it were a standalone game. Since that is basically from the ground up, I can see that on the PS3 with more ease than KHII: Final Mix....

Not everyone can afford these things. There are many things I can't afford. And if your under 18, you're bound by the rules of your parents. Some parents don't let their kids get video game consoles. It's not unheard of. My old friend had that problem. (The reason we're not friends anymore is completely unrelated to the fact he didn't own any consoles. The PC was good enough for him.... XD)

XD I'll make sure to do that! XD But Normura said that the next KH project will be announced soon, but said it would not be at the Square Enix Party. He DID say that there would be another surprise at the party. Many speculate that it is the official announcement of the U.S. release date. We'll see what it really is in due time... The only problem is that I've no clue when this so called party is.... Does anyone know?

That's the japanese version. They don't get the original disney voice cast like we do. They get japanese actors and actresses to do Mickey and everyone else, so with this game they finally get to hear how the american voice actors sound, but also get to understand what they're saying. Perhaps, however unlikely, they might do the opposite to us. Give us the japanese view of things. I would hate that (not that I don't like Japan, I love it, but I would much rather be able to listen instead of read. It's just so much easier for me! XD).

I'm pretty sure they did that with the first Final Mix as well. I heard the reason they did it though was because they didn't want to re-record the whole game with the Japanese cast again. Japanese get sick of having everything in English with Japanese subs, so I think it's rather unfair for them. :-\

Actually, that's a joke. It is NOT a crossover. It is FALSE! Trust me, Kingdom Hearts is not crossing over with mario. No official word has been mentioned. I know of the article you refer to, and it is not real. It is a joke. Kingdom Hearts on Wii is definenetely a good idea in my eyes, but no official word just yet. A nintendo crossover has not been confirmed, but it is rumoured. However, as far as official word goes, nothing has been said to prove it's existence. Personally, I doubt that it exists, and if it does, I will be very, very dissapointed.

There is some new info on the secret movie that will be revealed at the end of Final Mix+. Apparently, the shadowed figure is wearing a sort of Heartless outfit. At least that's how I understood it. http://www.khinsider.com (http://www.khinsider.com) has the neccesary information. They also have a newly translated version of the trailer. And I do believe the translated version is worth a look, as I now know what they're saying! Also, just a word of advice, in order to unlock the new secret movie, you're going to be playing KH for a while. You need to finish EVERYTHING! That includes all of the old stuff you had to do plus a whole new slew. Or, you can just play in the new mode (I forget the name! XD), but it will be very, very difficult. Or so we're told....

Yeah KH2 was easy so the new mode shouldn't be too hard.
You'll learn to swallow your words in due time... XD But from what I hear, it's wicked, wicked hard. So don't count on being done too soon... Or you could just mash both triangle and X, because of the reaction commands. I really liked KHII over KH1. I thought KHII delivered a better storyline!

This includes a TV commercial in which at the end part of the new secret movie is revealed. Unfortunately, my school doesn't load the video embedded in the page, and I don't feel like clicking the link... XD Also, the new secret boss is going to be hard. I loved creating and using Gummi Ships in KH, in KH2 I found it way too hard and boring... just couldn't get into it with the second one. :-\
gummi ship from kh2 was so much more fun. i actually looked foreward to it. it was more challenging.
There was too much to it in KH2. They could have made a separate game out of it. I preferred the basic Gummi Ship stuff from the first.

KHII:FM+ has now been released in Japan. I have downloaded a High Quality version of the new Secret Movie. It is AMAZING! You HAVE to see it. You can visit http://www.khinsider.com for more. I suppose you could visit KHVids, but I don't know the address, and I hardly ever visit the site to begin with. KHInsider combined both secret movies, and subbed them for english audiences. Very helpful for me. The HQ download is only the new secret movie in japanese. But the video portion of it is what's really important. I have heard nothing new of an english release date, but I still hope that we get one. I would also pray for a strategy guide to go along with it. The game has some serious tough spots. The new Secret Boss is one soldier you DON'T want to mess with! Trust me, he's extremely difficult. The new Organization battles don't look too tough, but I've only seen a few vids of them. The battle between Roxas and Sora is pretty cool, but not all that challenging. At least not yet. They have some new cutscenes, but I can't understand what they're saying mainly because it's in japanese, and there is no audio for some cutscenes. The one's with audio are pretty cool though. The scene in the Promotional Video in which Xemnas gives Roxas the name Roxas has no audio in the game itself, as opposed to it having audio in the promo vid. Dissapointing, but there's nothing we can do about it. Let's pray that an American release date is confirmed at some point. It would sell like hotcakes here, I expect. The only problem is that I'll have to save up my money. Well, enjoy this new info!

I usually don't spoil things for myself, but I was so curious, even though at the time I was far from finishing KHII, that I watched the ending and secret movie and spoiled it all for me... And the new secret movie is pretty cool. I have it on my iPod in high quality. I used a really cool video encoder to convert it from Avi to Mov/Mpeg (not sure which! XD). I am really enjoying the new ideo encoder... I can do so much, things that I wouldn't have been able to do before...
BIG NEWS EDIT: IGN has now reported that Square-Enix is now planning an all new KH SERIES! Keyword= Series, meaning more than one! The article can be found at the link below. The point being that there is potential for more KH. And this new series is said not to be KHIII, so it makes me wonder what it is... Could it possibly be a spin-off? What is it... SO MANY QUESTIONS! XD
I'm expecting "Kingdom Hearts: The War" or something along those lines, obviously just a name rather than number. I'd say it's gonna be a Kingdom Hearts with a new cast.
Well, I thought Nomura said that KH isn't KH without Sora... IDK, maybe that'll change or something... I would like to see a KH game on a portable system. Not a GBA KH game, but something like the DS or the PSP... (I'm torn between both. The touch controll of the DS would make wielding the Keyblade a very interesting experience, but on the other hand, the graphics couldn't be too good. The PSP would have graphics much more suitable to the KH franchise, but it lacks the touch controll interface. I do believe that KH needs to at least have 3D graphics, and and not 2D gameboy graphics. The DS would probably provide limited graphical power, or great graphical power but limited features/gameplay. The only thing I can see to avoid this is to have a GBA cartridge extension sort of thing...)
Well It's a Wonderful World looks interesting and that's coming out for the DS from Square. Rather innovative game that uses the touch screen rather well. :D
my guess at the knights is that it takes place while kh1 is going on because mickey doesnt appear until the end.

GBA was the best handheld at the time. PSP kicks the DS when it comes to graphics, and as Michael said "Nomura loves graphics."
But if he loved his graphics so much, why would he sacrifice them just to go to a handheld? I don't even see why a handheld would come on the board at all. :P

As for graphics...I don't think they'd be all that big of a factor. If the market's there, they'd probably put it on the Wii, but they're probably going to keep the main series on Sony consoles to keep things simple for the fans who started on PS2. :P
the kh series would look more normal with 480p, but as i said before, noumora loves graphics. hed stay on the ps3.
Ok, here's the deal. There is a campaigne to get KHII:FM+ released in North America, and Square wants it to come here, but they have to get permission. The main reason for this port is none other than Re:CoM. The reason the first final mix didn't get ported is because it was believed there was no point in re-selling KH with only a few additions. The company can't publicly state their opinions, but they are in with the fans on this one. KHinsider had the story.
