Question:
When playing games do you use a guide?
Option 1:
Yeah, when I get stuck its either use a guide or the screen gets it.
Option 2:
Noooo, I like to take my time and get there naturally
;D
I'm definitely in the second camp for this one. I hate using guides as it means usually you finish the game in a considerably shorter time which mans you have spend more money. Rinse and repeat!
I have a sneaking suspicion people will be voting for option no. 1 after reading the KQ4 thread though ;)
As much as I would like to do number 2, I get too frustrated and impatient. :P
I usually try to get as far as possible without using a guide, then if I'm absolutely stuck, I'll use one. :P

Ditto. Once I've used every action/item on everything I could think of, it's time to whip out that guide. Usually the answer's something I'd never be able to figure out, like "Stand behind that rock and wait for a long time."
First 2, and then 1 ;D
I make the commitment not to use a guide when I start a game, but once the nightmares start then I know its time to swallow my pride and use a guide so I can finish the game.
I try to not use a guide for as long as possible, but I find my impatience to find out what happens next in a well written plot based game makes me antsy and I usually cheat before I've been horrible stuck for days.
There's no way I'll let that happen with TSL though. I want to make this the best game experience I've had since the days of old when I'd be stuck on a KQ for months :P Or GK1 for that matter...I was stuck not knowing to call the darn dog groomer for a YEAR I think. :wall:
I would like to say NO and I never use to but I find that I'm doing it more now, probably because I don't have as much time to play as I use to. :( So.... Yes.

*sigh* :(
I did tend to use guides for the entire game when I was younger (though I can't figure out why.) Now I only use them if I am 100% absolutely stuck. And even then, I'll try some random things. XD
Sadly for the most part I am a member of the first group. Though I try to keep away from the guides as much as possible because I would like to do it all on my own.
I do try and use hints like the UHS rather than full walkthroughs through.
The first time I like to play it whitout any help thus not getting all the stuff in the game.
But eventualy I would like to use a guide to see what I missed only.
So, No till I don't like it anymore = 2 weeks searching for the solution maximum.
the games i really like i won't use the guides on, but the games i am just trying to get through i will use the guides 8)

Thats what I do to. I get as far as can and when I get stuck for a long time and have tried everything that I can think off and still can't get then I use a guide. I use it to get past that part and then I don't look at it any more and continue on.

If I'm stuck, I use a guide. ;P
