I'm surprised no one hasn't already posted a Thanksgiving thread. I guess the Americans are all busy with their families and those of you from other countries didn't take notice of it. Anyway I stopped by late to say Happy Thanksgiving. I know it's been a while since I last been to the forums, I've been busy. I have a birthday on saturday. Have a good evening everyone. I have a good dinner today even though it was just me and my mom. Turkey and sweet potatoes are good for you.
Happy Thanksgiving and happy birthday!!!! ;D
Yes, I was busy eating a huge Thanksgiving meal today, it was delicious. ;D The turkey was nice and juicy, the mashed potatoes were perfect, and the gravy was excellent. ;D
Happy Thanksgiving to all you americans!!! [/color]And
;DHappy Birthday Dragonstar! ;D
yay dragonstar is back, happy bday !! :)
and yeah happy thanksgiving to whoever celebrates it :)
It's now officially Saturday in this part of the world so...
Happy birthday Dragonstar!
Thanks guys, I'm glad you all had a good Thanksgiving. our turkey was delicious, but I loved the sweet potatoes best. Pumpkin pie is always yummy. Today my mom made dressing with mushroom gravy. Tommorrow is my birthday, thanks for wishing me well. I share a birthday with my sister, I hope I can talk to her or see her. We're not twins, 2 years apart, born on the same date. Strange coincidence. I should get good presents, spoiled brat that i am. (even though I'm grown.)
You also share a birthday with Cesar! :o :D
Glad to hear you had a great Thanksgiving. :) Happy Birthday in advance, in case we don't see you tomorrow! 8)
Happy official birthday, it's tomorrow! ;D
Could someneone refresh my memory and tell me what Thanksgiving is about (once more)? I seem to have forgotten it and I don't feel like looking it up myself. :P
Something about the Native Americans and Pilgrims eating together during a particularly long, hard, cold winter. They put aside their differences for the ultimate survival of both. Of course, I doubt anyone knows exactly what happened, since all the stories I've read vary a lot or are very general. For all you know, it might just have been that a Native American and a Pilgrim happened to kill the same turkey at the same time.
My birthday went ok, except at the end we had some family trouble from my sister's boyfriend, I really hope she breaks up with him, neither me or my parents like him. My favorite gift was a porcelian unicorn incense burner. I had a late breakfast, almost lunch, of cherry pancakes at Cracker Barrel, and then had a free brownie sundae dessert. yummy.
Belated: Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Birthday Dragonstar!!
and Happy Birthday Cesar!!!
(I KNEW his was around now, but I didn't know the exact date! drat!)
Happy Cesar Day I guess... I keep missing those little announcements at the bottom... ::)

Yeah, since I link directly to the off-topic thread, I do not pass 'Main', so I do not see the birtday announcement(s).
That's why we have no comparable thing in Europe, since our pilgrimages were happening before anyone could write. ;D
