I love being a girl, I wouldn't want it any other way. I wish there were more guys for me to talk to around here. oh, at my work there's a new guy hired, and he's hot! But I don't think I'd ever work up the courage to flirt with him. Besides, I might get in trouble for that.

Haha, I got this booklet yesterday called "The Slayers' Guide to The Female Gamer" basically written about female roleplayers from a guy's point of view, but it's like a fact-fidning mission....hilarious!!! SO fricking funny! Most amusing thing so far is a mocked scene of some guys talking about girls and one says he slept with a girl, so they all oh and ah and ask about it, and he replies, "Lets just say me and my +1 meat cudgel rolled a critical and leave it at that, eh?"

I understand how annoying it would be to constantly hear that battle of the sexs crap on forums. I just like to talk to people, whoever they are.
Oh, about that once a month thing, I'm on it right now! Boy am I letting you into my private life. Once you get older you get more used to your period, where you can predict what time of the month it will come, and it's not as uncomfortable as it was as a teen. On the first day I get I have cramps, but after that they usally go away and don't bother me. Tylenol helps.
What I hate about some religions, like Judaism Zoroastrianism, Islam, not sure about christianity is the sex discrimination when they say women are unclean on their period. I understand the reasons for this was sanitary people didn't have much technology back then, but can't they just take a bath and be clean again? To make a woman or girl feel dirty and impure because of a natural body function is wrong. Women should not be isolated on their periods. I understand why this was done in the past, but this has no place in modern day society. Out-dated rules like that should be discarded like the useless things they are. That is how religions will survive, if they will improve and evolve. maybe I should post this at the religion section.
Dragonstar, I suddenly get the idea you would enjoy the book "The Red Tent" by Anne Diamant or Diamid...I forget how her last name is spelled. It's fascinating, it's like a woman's version of ancient bible stories...told by Dinah, the sister of the Jacob's 12 sons, and everything's told from her point of view about the story Jacob. The Red Tent refers to the tent that the women of the tribe stay in while they have their periods. It's also interesting because it happens while Jacob's tribe is transitioning from the "heathen" ways/beliefs to the early Christian beliefs. In the first, the onset of womanhood is a celebration, in the other it is looked on more with shame. I think you'd like it, check it out some time.
I may be a guy, but I've been through something kinda like periods...
I had surgery on my bladder, and afterwards they stuck a tube up my frontend yoohoo (too risque for the forums ;) ) to drain all the bad stuff out (blood + stuff). I went through that for about a week, and the tube was attached to a bag the entire time, so it was a bit tricky moving around. Kinda painful, and I'm glad it's over with.
Haha! That must have sucked though...At least you don't have PMS...
When I get my "friend", It's usually not that bad. IF i get craps, they are just mild, you know, like my body saying "hey, there's something going on down there!" and they dont last long.
But about twice a year, i get PMS BAD. The craps are awful, and I'm WICKED bitchy. Everything will set me off. One minute I'll be SOO pissed, and the next I could eb crying for no reason. it sux.
Weird, instead of this turning into a Cesar/Killer Monkeys thread, we're talking out out way too personal lives. But hey, we're all family here!
Wow...oldbushie, that REALLY sounds like it sucks. Yipes. I mean I got a Urinary Track Infection *once* and it was annoying but all I had to do was take some pills for about a week! Props to you for getting through that, yipes!
Mine used to be a whole lot more of a pain than it is now, mostly due to family history and irregularity. Ahh the pill and its predictable wonders. ;)

It really hurt coming out, but otherwise it was kinda okay, though very annoying when it got suddenly tugged (caught on furniture etc). Fortunately they put it in when I was still in surgery, so I didn't have to endure too much.
And it WAS flexible, no metal tubing or anything (which would be a helluva lot worse). :P

;) urgh, that sounds painful. I hope you didn't have to go to school like that. I had cysts on my ovaries once, and I got bad, painful cramps from it, I went to the doctor, they did an ultra sound and everything, I may have taken medicine, but I think the cysts went away on their own.
Fortunately it got done over winter break, and I healed very fast by the time 2 weeks had passed. My back still aches a bit from the epidural they gave me, but I think it's almost recovered by now.
Once again, this male kittycat, but sometimes with a female attitude ;D , evens the score out again. And I thought the guys would at most be 10% of this board... my, how we have grown in number(s). 8)
Well, with 6 and 6 so far, we can set everyone up evenly ;-) Now if the other 20 or so people who've signed up at the board would reply.... ::)
