This is a very important opportunity in which I require of your cooperation. As some of you may know, Neil and I are working on some upcoming updates, and I need you to participate in TSL Fannatic!
The Rules
To have a profile in TSL Fannatic, you first must be a registered and active member of the Forum. Fannatics are chosen based on both longevity and forum activity. An inactive member that has been here for years, or a new member who makes 500 posts and disappears will not qualify for Fannatic. TSL Fannatics are not chosen through applications, they are hand-picked by the TSL Web Team, based on their presence in the Forum.
The information you should provide
-Username
-Real Name (Firstname and Lastname only)
-Contact info (MSN, ICQ, YIM)
-Small Bio (approx. 100 words)
-Birthday (Year is optional)
-Location (State, Country)
-Current Position (current forum post title)
-TSL Fan Since (date registered)
-Likes (3 things)
-Dislikes (3 things)
-Personal Photo of your choice (min 300x300 pixels)

We will now select from the few applicants and update their information on our website. The idea of this is because there is a very special contest that will be ONLY AVAILABLE for registered Fannatics and therefore only one or two fans will be the lucky ones who will get involved with such a unique opportunity.

One of the perks as you get older, is that time seems to go faster, so this means that month will be over soon 8). The downside of that is, your birthdays seem to come faster every time too. ::) :P

I never said how many I'd personally accept because I'm trying to be open minded about it. Example: let's say 10 people apply and 6 become fannatics, that means those 6 get to participate with our current 12 fannatics for this contest.
Eventually only 2 will make it.
We've received a few by now, get those applications going!

Yup. I'd say just apply. We said it's based on both longevity and activity. If you haven't been here very long but are active in the forum, you do have a chance. Even if you haven't been around in years, but were very active at the time, you'll still be considered.
The people that have been here for a long time and are still active just have the best chances of being chosen. :)

Haha no, spamming your application will just make it go to junk mail! Just remember this application is for fannatic, from there if you make it you will be notified what the contest is about and given the required information to participate.

Okay, so that leaves Cat and me, since AFAIK, we're the longest registered team members that are still active, besides the team members of course. Quit the pretence. :pokerface: ::) :P
I do encourage forum members (especially the active ones) to apply regardless of you registering this year or like 3 years ago. Even if you have 500 posts compared to someone who has like 9k posts. But I'm not going to force anyone to enter.
In the end, If I'm opening this opportunity is because I'm considering them too. Apply, luckily become a member and from there it's not my doing but your participating in the contest to win or not.
Think about it and take a chance. That's my advice!

I can see the longevity of your stay on the forums actually didn't really account for much this time, or having a lot of posts ,as I noticed one new who joined in June 2007 and is (just) a Devoted Knight. I don't mind, just an observation. I can't remember how long I was registered or how many posts I had when I became Fannatic, I only remember I wasn't a TSL Groupie (yet!).
Anyway, that means now more Staff Members of the TSL Asylum are Fannatic(s). Only Lollotte remains. 8)
I eagerly await the next stage in November. :D

Yep. Longevity and activity weren't going to be strong factors in selection this time, which is why we encouraged everyone to apply. :)
I really need to update my fannatic information. It's really outdated... along with my photo. :P
I don't change much. When look at the picture on my driver's license, you can easily see I'm still the same person, even though that was taken more than 10 years ago. I know of one person (female) who possesses that same trait (and her picture is in my picture-thread). So I can't really go saying my photo is outdated, apart from the glasses, which seem to get smaller every time I go to the shop to buy new glasses. The information I provided is still up-to-date too, AFAIK.
What were some of the factors? If that can be disclosed that is... And the next stage is eagerly anticipated by all... God, I have to know what the prize is... XD I may need to change photo a year from now, when I may grow older. I am after all a growing boy, and I get older everyday. But for now the photo I have is fine. But my facebook desperately needs a new photo.... XD
I'm 14 or 15 in my photo... that's just not cool! Also, I'm shy? I haven't been shy for years. :P

I'm not too good at contests either, but I'm going to try my best at it and give it my all. Just, please don't make it a race against time or something. I really hate time based things, mainly because time usually never works to my advantage... XD And I did participate in one contest, which was the avatar creation one, and my Avatar was really bad, and I know I could have done better, at least with the Photoshop knowledge that I now possess... And I am now learning flash... Go me... XD But I just hope that the contest won't be too difficult. Or too time consuming, as I've got work and stuff to go to.
At minimum, the contest will be one month long, so you'll have plenty of time. :)

I bet you have to write an essay on why you love TSL!
Its been ages when I last wrote an essay, and I don't remember me having good points on that either at school. However, since then I've been practising my writing skillz on a Dutch blog (which one can only read if I invite them), and I have some fairly extensive posts there. I even mention some things about TSL some times, but those are little tidbitz.
As long as I don't have to write the essay in a language we don't know. We'd have to prove ourselves by learning a foreign language in a months time and writing an essay about how much we love TSL in that language. As long as we don't have to do that, I'm fine... XD I think... XD
I could write one...in Danish :P
lol, I might be able to write one in Leet, but it would take a while... XD I don't take a language in my school, so I only know my native language... There's even the possibility (a very strong one I must add) that I am getting the language graduation requirements waved. In order to graduate from my high school, you must have at least two years in a foreign language. Now, I wish that participating in a community like this counted towards community service credit, but that's never going to happen... Well, the month is almost up! In a few days we might know what this contest is! *crosses fingers*
