I've heard....and a lot fo you have hinted, that there will be some nudity and/or sexually in KQ IX. Is this true? If so, will it be frontal nudity (and if so, full frontal or half?) r rear, and will it be on a male or a female?

I heard an interesting comment on the radio the other day, they were talking about how Americans talk up sex and nudity in movies/tv/games/etc as being so taboo and bad, and yet we let in so SO much bloody, graphic and unneeded violence and hardly think about it. Really, what ought to get the taboo is more the violence and less the nudity.
We are such a backwards culture sometimes....

Yes, but it's the 3D texturer who gets to paint said "ass" ;).
I have to dispel a myth. It is impossible for there to be anyone "naked" in this game - the main reason is, we are not separating the clothes from the body. It's all one model. Sure, we'll pull a head off of one clothed body to put it on another (that sounds so wrong), but we are not modelling a naked figure and then clothing them. It's too much work and this is a game, not a movie ;). Even if we did model Alex, Cassima, or Rosella's "ass", they would be kind of square because we are working with low-polygon count models (this way your home PCs won't be crying because their trying to process said "asses"). :P

Hey, people used to drool over AGI Leisure Suit Larry girls, drool over the original Lara Croft polygon, and make patches for The Sims to get rid of the pixelation... we can bend anything with our imaginations. ;)

Wooo, that's a lot of "ass"! Hahahah. Yeah, I know there's no real naked version of em, but from some of the side views I've seen I know they won't be
completely flat/square. ;D BTW, since the camera's fixed, is there any possibility of adding a zoom in feature? ;) 8)
Maybe I should do 3d modeling sometime... sounds interesting. ;)
I've tried making a few small things in 3d studio max but never really anything major. Of course, I'm already a colorist, so... ;)
I'm relieved to know that there will be no nudity in KQIX. In MOE Connor was so ugly in that apple scene I laughed my head off at his orange square ass. Since I've seen the goodies of KQIX, I can assure you it will be a way better than MOE's crude graphics.
yeah, thats quite a relief I admit too, not even the fact of no nudity (we dont need another duke nukem around lol), and that our 3d achievement so far are waaaaay better than MOE, I dont hate it... but good god the graphics were so freaking fugly :p

You likely misread our jokes about Valanice's/Rosella's gowns, which, granted, might be called 'sexy', and yes we also often joke about Alex's mysterious birthmark. But no, nudity there is not. This is King's Quest after all - not Larry or anything  ;D

Way to go there! ;D Reviving a nearly two-year old topic of great importance to many people. Personally I don't think polygons are that great a great turn-on, but I respect the fact that people have very different preferences. Some are just into texture-mapping... Oh well, if there is no nudity in the script I guess the field is open for other groups to code a Daventry nasty. I envision scantily clad fairy godmothers, bondage in front of the three-headed dragon, action in the leprechaun cave... AAARGH THE HORROR!!! GET A GRIP PEOPLE! These are supposed to be family games! ;)

You can actually see something like that in QFG2 if you wear the glasses before giving Zayishah the clothes in rasier. Note: it is impossible to become a paladin if you do this.
