In KQ6, I loved the idea of Chess Board Land (Though I never knew how to play it, and I still don't... XD) but I've always wanted to explore the place for once. I know all I'm gonna get is :suffer:, but we can still discuss what you think may lie within chessboard land and whether you think graham will visit it... According to one screenshot, he at least meets the red and white queens at the entrance to Chessboard Land... I just hope we can see more of it...
Chess board land was awesome. I too hope we get to visit it. I've got a faint feeling we will. :P
We'll definitely get to visit it. 8) Chris Ushko and I have actually been working on IoW for the past few weeks. ;D
So we actually get to explore it?! YES! I've waited forever to get to see what the inside of the place looks like! I loved Chess Board Land! It was just so cool! I hope that Graham doesn't get caught up in an argument about coal and rotten eggs! XD

Awww....Neil...what happened to :suffer:? I was wanting to post it... :(
*goes to read the old CBL thread*
*cracks up* XD
Wish I had been here way back then XD
So, how are we going to get pass the knights at the entrance. Are we going to have to pull a Laverne?
:suffer:
:P
Naturally, no one can say for now. But the prospect of actually visiting Chess Board Land is just an amazing one! I've always wanted to see what the inside of Chess Board land looked like! I wonder what the castles and everything else look like... And naturally, :suffer: is going to be the answer I get!
oh god, i remember the first time I played KQ6 I spent SO long trying to figure out how to get into chessboardland cuz i was SO sure you were supposed to... I kept trying to climb through the hole in the wall, or over the wall, and then when the "Drink Me" bottle showed up I was sure that it made you shrink so that you could get by the guards unnoticed.
One of those "you told me i cant, so that means i must have to" moments i s'pose...
I always wanted to go into chessboard land too. I was so upset when i found out it was impossible :(

It's not impossible any more! XD
And that's good! I am so dying to see what it's like on the inside... Is it in Shadows or in The Two That Are One or Eternities?
Shadows. :)
Nice, glad to hear it. Now, I don't suppose you could tell us what CHAPTER it's in, could you...? XD ROFLOL, just kidding. I know I'll get :suffer: for a response anyway... XD
That is bad ass. Great inclusion guys.
Welcome to the forum, Dante! I hope you like it here! There's a lot more than just Chess Board Land that they're including I believe. Browse around the site to find some cool spoilers that were spilled, and watch the trailer and making of video for lots of juicy information.
Welcome, Dante!!
Chess Board Land!!! XD I hope it's not like the desert in KQ VII, an infinite # of screens...if it is...oh well ;D
Welcome Dante! ;D

LOL! Don't worry, it's not. But I can't reveal anything more. 8)
Not right now at least... XD One question. Is there a thread for places visited in TSL, so we don't need to create a multitude of threads for this type of subject? If theres not, I would like to create it. That way it's easier for all of us to go to one thread. And I do have a bunch of questions about other places visited...
Thanks guys - I hope to check this place out frequently. It's nice to keep in touch with this project and also be able to talk about KQ with some people that enjoyed it as much as I have. ;D
Yeah, this forum is filled with KQ fans, both young and old. Some are still teenagers, while others are full grown adults. We all range in age... Which reminds me... My friend's little brother, who's in third grade, likes King's Quest. It's refreshing to see that some families carry on the legacy that is KQ!
Im only 15 but still, the first ever adventure game i played was KQVII and i still hole the demo very close to my heart lol. Somehow i broke KQV though...
Im the leader of an online gaming clan so it just goes to show that Adventure games are accessable to people of all walks of life.
Anyhow, I LOVE CHESSBOARDLAND TOO!!!!! I always wondered why the original designers left it out. It would have been much better than the labyrinth as a plot element. XD
I believe that young adventure gamers have a lot of power. I am currently writing a paper about adventure games and I hope to publicize it soon. But chessboard land really was awesome!
