Title: Disney World
Post by: Rosedragon on December 12, 2003, 03:52:30 PM
I'm going to be leaving for Disney World on the 18th. I have a problem with yahoo, somehow I cannot get in and check my yahoo mail. I'm just letting you all know that I will be gone for about 3 to 4 days. Maybe I could see Cesar while in the Orlando area. My parents might not like that, doubt we would bump into each other. Cesar might be in NYC. I'm gonna have fun at Disney's animal kingdom, and I'm going to a dinner show. I hope my cat will be ok while I'm gone.

Kewl, I went once, not bad. It was very very very crowded when I went, though, everyone was literally neck to neck and my family and I had to hold hands in a single file line to get places without getting lost. :P

I went to Disney World when I was really little... 14 years ago.  I barely remember anything, but I think I loved the Epcot center ride and some Dinosaur thing.  I also remember hating to walk around so much and always wanted to stop at every bench.   ;D

I went to Disney Land (California) 4 years ago.  It was alright.  I loved the "Churros".  I wish they sold them where I love!  Well, years later Pizza Hut sells Cinnasticks but that's definitely not the same. :( I don't really remember any really fun rides.. I guess I was too old.  I remember the line-ups taking sooooooo long, but the rides were fairly long too, so it was worth the wait.  :)

I also haven't been and would like to go. I don't think I'll enjoy it much though... I tend not to like things like that  :-\

I actually can't stand theme parks anymore.  I went to one for Grad Night a few years ago (when I was graduating high school) and so many rides were giving me a headache!  :-\

Aww come on :D, its like a once in a lifetime experience, I dont believe I would actually frequent a place like that, and Im also not a big fan of it but come on, its disney! at least to just go visit, there must be something fun to anyone anyways :)

And maybe what happened to Neil wasnt only the fact that the park was annoying... but also the company :D lol, kiiidiiiiing :P, lol

I went to Disney World Paris twice, IIRC (maybe it was three times). Anyway, apart from the rides going upside down (doing loopings and corkscrews and such) I don't get headaches.
Several years ago, when doing a tour of Florida, sadly we didn't have enough time left to go and visit Disney World there. :'(

I've been to the Florida Disneyworld 3 times, and Eurodisney once.  I must say, as much as France boils my blood, their Space Mountain kicks ass.

I've never been to Disney World. Of course, The Great Escape and Riverside Six Flags New England (gah, what a hideously boring new name) are both very cool, so I didn't feel *too* deprived as a kid. And now both have water park sections, which makes me a very happy gal. Mmmm... water slides and wave pools, yum.

Having said that, I'd still love to go to Disney someday... although since I dislike extreme thrill rides, it'd probably be more for the ambience than much else. I'm totally dying to check out Epcot Center and Universal Studios, though. :)

Peace & Luv, Liz

Thanks for the tips you guys. I am leaving tommorrow. We drive up there all day tomorrow and then that night we go to a dinner theater. The next day we go to Disney World's Animal Kingdom. I'll pass on the tips to my parents. I have this crazy idea of bringing a book or my sketchbook along with me in case I get bored in the lines, but I'd be worried about loosing it, it getting dirty, fitting it in my purse and people giving me strange looks and thinking I'm weird. But hey whatever works. I could put it in a shopping bag. I'll have to bring plenty of money with me.

Can't argue on that quote, I'm afraid. It truly is, and has always been, French. :P
