Post by: Tage7 on April 03, 2008, 12:56:34 AM
Soo....did anyone come across any good ones?

Were you a victim? :suffer:

Did you play one on somebody? D:

I must know these things. :suffer: :suffer:

I didnt have/do any (i amost rang my mother in work pretending to be a senile woman asking for a pie order instead of a prescription but I couldnt be bothered)...HOWEVER my friends played a joke on their boss. They work in a vets, one vet nurse rang the other and infrom of their vet boss had a fake conversation acting as client and nurse. the conversation lead to a full blown argument that ended in the vet nurse shouting at the "client" and with a bit of bad language slamming the phone down.
The vets question was "who was that"
my friends answer "oh just a client"...but being a terrible liar she broke down into fits of laughter
the vet just stood there looking slightly confused
:suffer:

None here either.  I generally don't like playing them on people.  Sometimes they're too mean. :P

:suffer: at the vet office. Good thing the boss wasn't rash. :P

Lol. Oh well. I didn't come across, participate, or become a victim to any practical jokes either. :/ Thanks for letting me know. :suffer:

I did read an article on the LG15 site about them making a contract with ABC to make it an actual show on TV next fall... they had me going for a minute till I remembered it was April 1. ::)

I was watching Dancing with the Stars on April 1, and they were showing what each contestant likes to do in their spare time. The football star loves making ships in the bottle, Pricilla Presley has a psychic hotline, Kristi Yamaguchi competes in hot dog eating contests.

After a minute, I was like "this HAS to be an April Fools joke!"

Did anybody catch the Wheel of Fortune (in the US) April Fool's joke? XB
*hopes it's on the internet*

On a particular website I occasional visit, they had a "fake website-spoof trojan thing" come up, with a awful picture, and a loud, pre-recorded voice saying somesuch thing or another.

That's the last time I visit THAT website.

I hate that stupid holiday.

And I hate the idea that people think that kind of thing is funny.

Arg!! What is wrong with people!! And younger kids go there too! Why on earth!?

*is furious, and disturbed*

There was an April Fools jokes over at AGS. Chris Jones announced that AGS was partnering with Microsoft, and was to be re-branded as XNA Adventure Studio. He even changed the website to make the joke more convincing.

Maybe people just got tired of April Fools pranks, or maybe the pranks they had in previous years were so good they couldn't possibly top them, so they didn't even try :P

April Fools didn't go very well for me :-[
First, I played this really mean prank on someone who didn't appreciate it at all. Then that someone told he just found out about a friend of his who died, and I went "ha-ha, April Fools. Right?"
Some things you really shouldn't joke about :(

My MSuperPaint only got viewed by one person who wasn't in on it, XD . Oh well, it was fun to do. I don't like cruel April Fool's day jokes, but some harmless fun is always silly.

EDIT: What? "some harmless fun is always silly"? I need to get some fresh air.

Maybe. I feel like I should be doing more. Instead, the internet keeps beckoning me. "Frolic in the forums, A3P! Frolic!"
I love the internet, but it might be a mildly unhealthy addiction.

No it's not! It's the internet! It's the greatest creation in the world!

Lol. Nice.  :suffer: :suffer: :suffer:

I like harmless April Fools jokes. But mean ones are just...mean, lol. Unless you're close friends or family with them and know they'd do the same to you in a heart beat. :suffer:
