Well I was trying to find the name of the ruin castle(?) that I used to live by in Germany and ran across this.

I though my Queen, Petra and a few others might find it interesting.
Still haven't found it's name yet but I'm still looking.
Very cool! 8)
I love this thread. :D
Where in Germany did you live? :) I might be able to help. :)

I noticed some of my favourites weren't on the list. :P
Burg Hohenzollern (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3e/Burg_Hohenzollern_ak.jpg)
And Schloss Ortenburg (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/4c/Jugendherberge_Schloss_Ortenberg.jpg/627px-Jugendherberge_Schloss_Ortenberg.jpg)
More to come as I find good pictures. :P

Seems to be a more complete list. :)
I lived in Godelhausen next to Theisbergstegen of which the ruins are above.
Does anyone know if they used an actual German castle in Gabriel Knight 2?
I think so, I forget the name of it though
Neuschwanstein. :P It's in Bavaria and was built by Ludwig II, who also built Linderhof and added to Herrenchiemsee and has very nice Baroque interiors. :P
Oh cool, thanks Del!
I had it as my avatar on the forum not too long ago! XB
Indeed. :D
Most of the themes are mythological and Wagnerian, especially focusing on the Knights of the Swan and the Order of the Fleece and the Ludwigsorden (having been a knight of both orders of chivalry). :) The throne room is Byzantine in style anyway and there is indeed a grotto. :P
You can take quite a nice tour of it here (http://www.neuschwanstein.de/englisch/palace/tour.htm). :)
