Post by: icarus on February 26, 2009, 10:43:35 AM
For all those wo dont drink or just don't like it. I trasted it once and I don't like any form of alchoholic drink.
There is one exeption. A special fruit drink. most of the drik is the juice of the fruit.

I don't, and don't want to.  many reasons, the main one being... IT TASTS HORRIBLE!

Only on different occasions do I have a drink, even then it is like 3 parts water to one part something else. The only time I didn't water it down was during the super bowl.

Good to hear there's others that feel the same way. Being at college, sometimes it feels like there's very few people who don't drink much.

If I do drink something you have to only be able to barely taste the alcohol in it. But even if it didn't taste horrible I'd still not really have much desire to drink the stuff. :P

The thing is I have a tiny bit of it in church for communion but that's all.  I hate the tase so I never have any any other time.  Yeah, I don't want to drink anyway, the way I see it, I'm only 17 for one, so it's illegal, and another thing, it tastes HORRIBLE!

Alcoholic beverages remind me of my time working in cell culture during research: everything gets washed with 70% ethanol... so all the alcohol I've ever had has reminded me that I worked in a biophysics lab... and has reminded me that one probably wouldn't want to drink the straight 70% and 100% ethanol used as cleaner in lab (which raises serious logic issues for me since so many people DO want to drink such things it would seem...) :P

I've had experiences far more traumatizing than not liking the taste to turn me off alcohol for pretty much ever. :P

I hardly ever drink.  When I go to dinner with my family I'll order like a mochatini and that's it, and be satisfied for a few months.

But come on, I turned 21 last May.  I appropriately celebrated that birthday, and that was the last time I've had alcohol in excess.

I usually have wine for dinner and sometimes Baileys after it. *hides, as she is obviously one of few here* :P

Don't worry, nobody will lynch you.  It's not a crime to have a drink with dinner--back in the medieval days they had it with every meal, breakfast included.  :drunk:

that's a lot! ( i mean the medieval times thing) I guess, though where I live, you've got to be 21 to drink. (With some exceptions)  it may be different in... where do you live?  I forget.

I wouldn't think that three glass of wine in a twelve hour period would be excess. Besides during those winter day it might have helped a bit.

I? Switzerland. :) The drinking age is 16, but my parents have always encouraged me to appreciate wine. :P

XD Well, maybe in the food fight thread. :P And it was diluted with water and often spiced or sweetened. :P

I've been done with alcohol for awhile now. Most of it does indeed taste horrible, but wine isn't half bad though.

I only drink socially, and even then it's not really enough to feel intoxicated.  I don't mind alcohol, but I generally don't drink any of the REALLY strong stuff.

Me?
During x-mas drink I usualy take one  alchoholic drink. things like a baco (cola rum) or a 7up met een tik (7up whit Jenever in it)

I think baco (we usually call it rum & coke here) is fine.  By really strong I mean stuff like cognac.  That stuff is insane.  :drunk:

I don't know how people can drink it.  Bourbon or whiskey are probably just as bad, but I've never tried them yet.

I've tried both bourbon and whiskey, and I DO NOT recommend them.  My friend's dad gave something called "fire whiskey," and I guarantee that it is the word "awful" in liquid form.  I gagged the minute it hit my tongue.  :P

There was this girl I used to work with who would spend her weekends with a bottle of absinthe.   :X  She would tell me, "I just kept taking shots!  I wanted to see the green fairy!"  Uggghhhh.  I can only imagine the pukefest that took place when all was said and done.  Like in Family Guy when they drink the ipecac for the last piece of pie...
