I downloaded the public demo the other day. I was quite dazzled by the job that is being done on this un-sequel! It's great that someone is carrying on the torch of Daventry's saga since Sierra is too pigheaded to do it themselves.

Thanks! The game has actually come a long way since the public demo, so if you liked that, you'll be very pleased with the final game. :)
As for Sierra, I don't think they were too stubborn to make one. It was more due to the decline in the adventure genre, and the pressure to compete with more popular games.

 I downloaded the demo and the beta contest version on a computer in the lab the other day (i.e. was procrastinating doing work ::)) and even just between those two I remember thinking that there was a huge improvement (except for all the intentional bugs, of course :suffer:)

Yeah, and what's that, 2006 to 2008? Yeah. That's a big improvement. ;D

You gues are so lucky!! ;D
Yep. The visuals will be the first thing to strike you once you play the game. But visuals aside, I also remember how seriously buggy the game was when the Beta Testers first got their hands on it. :P There were so many little annoyances, that brought down the entire experience overall.
I'm so glad that the current build is miles better. We're talking close to 2,800 issues fixed from then to now! The testers really did a great job at finding all these bugs and reporting them to us, and then re-testing them again, once fixed.

What do you mean,
except for the intentional bugs? That's what made the contest version so memorable! (
Trogdor!!!!! :o)
