im finally on the 5th chapter of the new monkey island, man did tell tale do a good job....almost as good as the team is doing ;D
just wondering if you'll have enjoyed it as much as i have, playing an adventure game
Just a heads up, this post may fit better under the adventure gaming category of the forum. It's reserved for all discussion of non-TSL related adventure games. I'm not a moderator, so I can't move it there...
That being said, I'm still on chapter 1 of Tales of Monkey Island... And I had a (legal) free copy of it, and when I upgraded my computer, it was lost... But the first chapter was good, at least for what I played of it... I believe that TellTale is a company which will stand out in the era of the re-birth of adventure games. They've done a superb job on the games they've made, and I don't expect that quality to reduce in the near future. And believe it or not, Cesar, the director of TSL, just so happens to work at Telltale...
I loved it. My second favorite of the series, after the third.
I still need to get back to ToMI, but from what I played (the first chapter and a good chunk of the second), it is definitely a great addition to the series. Blows EfMI out of the water.
I'm still waiting for Lucas arts to release the second MI game in a special edition format... I'm definitely going to have start playing tales of monkey island again...
YES.
I totally want a LeChuck's Revenge Special Edition, and a higher-definition release of Curse.
There was a group of fans that did a mockup of LeChuck's Revenge in 3D, and it looked awesome. I think there was a video on Youtube. I find it hard to imagine that lucas arts isn't planning more, considering how successful the first monkey island special edition was. It was well-made in addition to being successful...
