Hee! Not exactly... but I dislike getting gifts, so that's OK. (I hate getting things I feel like I didn't earn. :P ) Still, I got a few things, anyway.
1. My mom sent me a couple cards. The first was sort of generic (but cute). But the second showed a picture of a little kitten on the front, with a text bubble saying "Woof". On the inside it says "Thought I'd say 'Happy Birthday' in a foreign language." My mom also added "Love, Snowy. Meow, meow, meow" (Snowy is my mom's cat.) Needless to say, I get part of my sense of humor from my mom. <3
2. An online friend also sent me a card. The front says "It's your birthday!! I got you a card!!" The inside says "This is the inside of it!!" (And he added "Nothing conveys your best wishes like a low-brow sense of humor. Happy birthday, Liz.") The back of the card says "Here's the back!" (And he added " P . S . Are we having fun yet?")
3. Harrison insisted on getting me *something*, so I told him he could pay to take Rainy to the vet. (My kitty is waaaay overdue for his booster shots, thanks to my job and money woes. :P ) He also took me out to dinner... unfortunately I've been so zonked lately that I was too tired to properly appreciate it. :(
And that's about it.

2. LOL! XD Certainly a very straightforward card. ;)
3. Awww... how come? You must be pretty much so, it's hard for me to Pace and Luv at the same time. :S

Aw, crap. " Pace & Luv "? That's what I get for trying to post a whole ton of stuff before leaving for work. XD
Anyhoo. I think it's partly the fact that I get hungry all the time, and I get tired whenever I'm hungry for some reason. Since I obviously can't eat that frequently at work, I always end up spending some of the shift hungry & tired, and by time I get home and eat the damage is sorta done. :P It's also partly the fact that I've been depressed lately, I bet.

It's strange though. My depression never had that effect on me (eating much).
/me hits his forehead with his fist for not thinking of sending Jeysie an online card for her birthday as well.

Actually, my online friend didn't send me an online card, he sent me a snail mail card.

While air mail to the US is mostly faster (in comparison) than domestic mail, sending it on the day itself wouldn't be soon enough. :P
Anyway, if I don't know your snail mail address, I can't send you a snail mail card, can I? :-X

I've gotten snail mail cards from online pals before, including one Xmas card that arrived rather late... it's the thought that counts.
And my snail mail address (and phone number) are actually readily available, if you're web-knowledgable enough to know where to look. (Hint: No, it's not in any "white pages" service. And before any web-safety peeps lecture me... my info *has* to be available in this given spot, I haven't much choice.)

The IRS? ::)
She means online... I know where but I wouldn't say.
It's not so often that I get to use the :suffer:

My web-knwoledgeability is reserved to the sites I visit on a regular basis. If I don't visit them on a regular basis, I'd have to write the address down somewhere because otherwise I'd forget. What's more, I'd also have to remeber where I wrote it down. :-\ My best guess is it's somewhere on your site info.
EDIT: Found it! ;D
