Title: Save The Silver Lining Website
Post by: oberonqa on March 02, 2010, 11:34:52 AM
Thanks to Atec123, the Save The Silver Lining Movement now has a website!

This website will serve as the portal to all the assorted elements of the Save The Silver Lining Movement.  From this site, fans and supporters of The Silver Lining will have one-click access to the facets that make up the movement, including (but not limited to):

-> The Online Petition
-> The Offline Petition (forthcoming)
-> Social Networking Anchor Sites on Facebook and MySpace
-> Frequently Asked Questions about The Silver Lining C&D (forthcoming)
-> General Information about the movement

This website should be the point of entry for all fans and supporters of the Save The Silver Lining Movement, so when mentioning the movement to friends on other websites and discussions, be sure to use the website URL instead of any of the individual facet URL's.

And without further ado.... the URL of the website is:

http://savetsl.co.cc/?cat=1

Thank you Atec123 for your hard work and ongoing support of the Save The Silver Lining Movement.  :)

Thanks everybody for support!

alright.  I'm going to bed pretty soon and I will get working on updating the site according to this  offline petition tomorrow.

Should I include Tessy's word document on the site just to make things a little easier?

that is plenty doable.

Sure Atec. It is the same thing but it is a convenient download. Have a download and then it typed there too so people know what it says before they download it.

Whatever you want to do, we are glad you are working on the website. :smitten:

Working on the site as we speak.  Only thing I see that needs fixing is the link to the letter.

I added the info.

I must say, the website looks VERY nice! I'm going to college next year for Web Design and Interactive Media, so I have an idea of what I'm talking about. I hope you guys succeed!

If anyone knows a second language, please shoot me a message.  I'd like to look into the possibility of translating the website and related materials (petition, Facebook Group, Myspace Page, etc) into other languages so our friends in the international community can participate in and become supporters of the movement.

In paticular, I'd like to get the website and related materials translated into the following languages:

-> Spanish
-> French
-> Italian
-> Russian
-> Chinese (Mandarin)
-> Japanese
-> German

Please shoot me a message either here on the forums or send me an email message at oberonqa@gmail.com

Thanks!

Atec,

I just checked out the website. It looks great except the link to the email template is blank. THe link just leads to a blank page, sorry if I noticed this while you were working on it.

oberonqa was having the same problem.  For some reson, it was working fine for me.  Anyway, it is fixed now.

Also, there was a comment on the post about the letter with some suggestions for making the site better.  I have now added a link bar at the top with a bunch of good stuff in it.

Check it out.
